I legitimately have an affliction where every single time this video pops up on my twitter feed, no matter what and even though I’ve seen it hundreds of times, I’m compelled to watch it again.
This town in Nova Scotia got so fed up with the grocery monopolies that they started their own grocery store.
They run the store as a co-op. Fresh food, low prices, local food, money circulating in the town economy.
Again and again i come back to Bob Dylan being asked about his “direct download” early career songwriting… he replied “i cant do that any more… but i can do other things.”
This attitude serves me well, over and over again in the relentless changes of life

quite fascinating seeing someone clearly raised on confessional pop music encountering an artist who is more allusive or writes character pieces and being absolutely domed by it. it's nice really. go find more! there's loads of it!
