I learned about Forrester's Social Technographics Model, Facebook's privacy issues (yikes), and the concept of "government 2.0 & citizen 2.0" #gned1411 14.3.2
I learned based on tweets and interactions that everyones social media journeys are so so different! But funny enough we all seem to have similar opinions on matters (in my experience at least) #gned1411 14.3.1
Because did the pandemic, I think apps like TikTok have gotten really big! We've always had "memes" on twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, but TikTok really brings them to life #gned1411 14.2
I think that once this pandemic is over everyone will have a new appreciation and approach to social media! I think this will lead to more video calls, technology based interactions, classes, etc #gned1411 14.1
13.3 - In my opinion, social media is a distraction in the classroom. I've had social media all through high school and college and I admit I have been distracted from lessons due to social media many times as well as my peers. #GNED1411

what have you guys been up to so far during the pandemic?
I'm still working but I have a lot of plans for when exams are finished, I'm gonna try a bunch of those tiktok trends :) lmk what you're all doing!
I think with an online course such as this class, social media can make discussions easier! But in a physical classroom, it might be more distracting than helpful #gned1411 13.3
Using YouTube to post weekly thoughts on course content might be a good way to make online programs feel more real (as if you were going to class and seeing people in person) #gned1411 13.2
Right now we're using social media in place of going to class in person during this pandemic! I've also used to technology for numerous written reports, making PowerPoints, YouTube videos for assignments and to help me create citations ! #gned1411 13.1
I think hashtag activism is a way to gain more traction about issues in the world, but I don't know that it helps to actually motivate people to do something about those issues... #gned1411 12.3
I've seen the hashtag #StayHome alot lately , particularly on Facebook to help spread the message and importance of social distancing during this pandemic!! #gned1411 12.2
I think that social media activism is a good way to reach out and inform a wide audience but I'm not sure that it necessarily motivates people to do more than post a picture with a certain hashtag #gned1411 12.1
B1: I think that social media has played a big part in increasing panic in the general public; although we're in a pandemic, I don't see why people need all that toilet paper🤦♀️ #gned1411
