U.S. President Donald Trump says that, on the request of Pakistan, he is extending the ceasefire until "such time as their (Iran's) proposal is submitted, and discussions are concluded."
There’s something deeply gratifying when foreigners describe Pakistanis as warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. It’s more than a compliment, it’s a recognition of who we are. In those moments, we don’t just smile… we stand a little taller. 🇵🇰 @sgreports@CaitlinDoornbos
President Trump calls today a "brilliant day for the world," thanks Pakistan's leadership for their role is securing this massive US-Iran breakthrough and says the Strait of Hormuz is being de-mined.
We are deeply touched by the outpouring of solidarity and heartfelt condolences from our Pakistani brothers and sisters following the tragic school shootings in Türkiye.
In moments of profound sorrow, your messages remind us that grief shared is grief eased. We feel your prayers. Thank you Pakistan.
We are particularly grateful for the kind and heartfelt messages of H.E. Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, and H.E. Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

It’s a sincere comment of my impression of #Pakistan. I never been there although I covered India and Sri Lanka as a reporter . It’s overwhelming to see the friendly welcome of random Pakistanis along with officials who facilitated our coverage of the Iran talks. It makes a huge difference for a reporter. Thank you again for your warm hospitality.
An evening to remember ✨
Had the pleasure of hosting foreign journalists visiting for Islamabad Talk for dinner at Dome a sharing the beauty of Islamabad, along with the richness of Pakistani cuisine and music.
Missed having @Ca82586Caitlin and @sgreports being busy.
I offer my sincere appreciation to the @GovtofPakistan, in particular to H.E. @TararAttaullah and his dedicated colleagues, for their tireless efforts in promoting media cooperation between Iran and Pakistan.
Your devoted and dynamic contributions, marked by professional and visionary leadership in the fields of information and public diplomacy, have opened a memorable new chapter in the relations between our two brotherly nations.
Thanks to your collective endeavors, we are witnessing remarkable progress in media collaboration, reflected through signing of several important MoUs that have paved the way for further deepening and expansion of our ever-growing bilateral relations.
Foreign guests of the SCO Media and Think Tank Summit enjoyed an immersive journey in Kaifeng, China, marveling at the city's rich cultural heritage through global exhibitions, folk performances, and urban sightseeing.
Honoured to host a dinner for Information service officers @MoIB_Official , recognising Mr. Syed Mubasshar Tauqir Shah, a dedicated Grade-21 officer, on his retirement, and to celebrate recently promoted officers. The Ministry’s progress and reforms owe much to their dedication. This journey will continue with firm resolve, Insha’Allah
FBR Restructuring decisions:
1. Tax policy functions taken away from FBR and is to rest with Revenue Division headed by a federal secretary.
2. Revenue Division will also be responsible for valuation of properties.
3. Current FBR to split in to Customs and Inland Revenues with separate boards and chairman.
Far reaching implications for tax collection. Why couldn’t elected governments do it?
It took Dr. Shamshad Akhtar less than 4 months to accomplish this.
It took her only one month to arrange issuance of Sukuks through PSX.
Then political leaders claim their term was not enough.
Having worked with Dr Shamshad, I know she means business & is a doer. I can also say that a few years ago I was in meetings from private sector where the first 2 points were pressed by a former Minister on Finance and Revenue but met resistance from FBR and his own Minister of State on one pretext or the other. Let’s hope this will improve things now
