@SahajRathi@DrSalihTokmak Great case and a very relevant discussion. Question about simultaneous deployment. I don’t think you can put two wallflex stents in the duodenoscope channel at one time, are you using Zilvers in that case?
@AusDrGupta@HeatherKosickGI@LizzieAbyMD Down under’s got the two core yrs that provide a good foundation (even better if it’s in QLD where you do those over 2 diff centres). The non-core/fellow yrs are very variable - and I think that’s good as u can tailor them to ur needs.
@FrontGastro_BMJ@AusDrGupta@tberzin@GI_Pearls Has anyone had experience with the low volume PEG based prep - Plenvu? I personally have not but there is growing evidence on better tolerability and prep quality as well!
Handy illustration for what could be a stressful time when using one of these. I haven’t had to put one down before, but have certainly deflated and removed a few now. What’s your experience @AusDrGupta ?
Cant remember the types of balloon tamponade devices for variceal bleeding?
Heres a quick illustration I made including number of ports and volume/pressure of balloons for each device.
Always familiarize yourself with the type of balloon tamponade available to you.

@AusDrGupta@acv69cardenas If bleeding from PBU haemospray > Purastat. It’s quicker onset. Also with Purastat - given it’s a gel and takes some time set there’s a chance it’ll migrate if the area that it’s applied to is not a dependant area(3 o’clock when patient on their left lateral)
