They have consistently kept the economy moving when it mattered most.

Today, five-day banking is not merely about an additional day off. It is about modernisation, productivity, work-life balance and recognising the contribution of banking professionals.

*The Indian Banks’ Association submitted the proposal for five-day banking in July 2023. Yet, more than three years later, its implementation is still awaited*.

SBI Dhumakot Branch Manager Shri Ganesh Singh Negi (42) was found dead at his rented accommodation in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. Police are treating the incident as a suspected suicide.

A painful reminder that behind every designation is a human being carrying unseen pressures and struggles.

May his soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family, colleagues and loved ones. 🙏

We strongly condemn the brutal attack on Mr. Kashyap Officer IOB by son of a borrower of Indian overseas Bank, Karad branch, Pune with koyta knife. We demand immediate arrest of the assailant. We advise Bank employees in Karad to organise demonstration to protest. We demand safety for bank officers and staff. Finance ministry govt of India and chief minister of Maharashtra should intervene in the matter immediately.
