New preprint by @pavitra_1994 and myself, applying an old evolutionary model and a new algorithm to study the evolution of transcription factor binding sites.

Computation Biology Group member @JananiRavi1803 passed her PhD thesis defense on Wednesday. Her work is titled, "Exposome and health: Characterization and network-based exploration of diverse environmental chemical spaces". #PhDone#PhinisheD. Here is a brief note on her work.
In GM12878, Group1 TFs primarily target housekeeping genes, whereas Group2 target genes are enriched for cell lineage-specific functions. In K562 and HeLa-S3, Group 1 is largely similar but Group 2 changes, suggesting lineage-specificity. (6/6)
Our manuscript on how transcription factors interact in 3D chromatin (with @hannenhalli, L Narlikar, @rsidd120) is on biorxiv now. Brief summary in thread below.(1/6)

These two TF groups interact differently with proteins, DNA, and genes. Group1 TFs tend to bind proximally to Transcription Start Sites whereas Group2 TFs bind distally. Attracting TF pairs are significantly enriched for physical protein-protein and domain-domain interactions 5/6
The thermocycler : "Do you recognise this Candida auris clade?"
ClaID: "Yes, I do."
