Bryce Harper is…Ron Burgundy? Just put a script in front of him and he reads it no matter what?!
Someone please buy a cameo from him saying “Hey Barry, your friend Victor over at BALCO wanted me to wish you a happy birthday!”
Bryce Harper has released a statement about the Cameo video he made that FanDuel sent to a bettor who had lost over $1.5 million on the sportsbook.
"I did not know FanDuel would do this, I did not consent to it, and FanDuel had no right to do it."
@TheBreakdownAB University & K-12 are vastly different educational arenas.
K-12: social & psychological development focus
University: critical thinking & subject matter expertise focus
Early education learning skills are fundamental to Uni success. It’s progressive, not parallel.
So, without any public consultation, the Smith UCP government signed agreements that will allow Meta, a foreign corporation, to use power equivalent to that used by city of Edmonton for at least TWO YEARS before Meta’s own power plant is up and running. https://t.co/SOwRnEipUI
@cspotweet Just like any other product or service with a sustained price increase, premiums will never decrease significantly. What incentive do insurance companies have to decrease pricing? None. They already have proof that customers will pay higher prices.
CTV: I think part of [the tensions between Canada-US] is because of some of the language that your president has used around the relationship with our country.
Hoekstra: Some of the language that some of your premiers have used and some Canadians have used, there's fault to go around to both.
For the lay people: Bryce Harper, an athlete worth hundreds of millions, recorded a thank you clip for a Fan Duel degen gambling whale at the request of the company to keep the addict hooked
Harper btw is supposedly a devout Mormon
Terry Thompson lost $1.5 million on bets he placed with FanDuel.
The company gave him VIP treatment — including a personalized video message from the Phillies' Bryce Harper.
Too many DUI cases tying up the courts means TOO MANY DRUNK DRIVERS! Decriminalizing & lower penalties could increase number of drunk drivers as there would be even less of a deterrent.
In this day and age, we ALL know the dangers.
When your Premier is a repeat convicted drunk driver as well as others in his cabinet and caucus your province brings in legislation to decriminalize drunk driving. https://t.co/GAglWjQODf
@disorderedyyc She’s good at using ambiguous language. “Hospital services” could mean anything & doesn’t hold her to specifics like private pay surgical procedures. Similarly, she says no one “has” to pay for a family Dr but that doesn’t mean there are enough family Drs to serve all.
People who say “I can’t do that, it’s against my religion” are practicing religious freedom.
People who say “You can’t do that, it’s against my religion” are practicing authoritarianism.
Of course she invited the execs to her wedding documentary that will inevitably stream on Disney+ and/or release in theaters. 🧐
Is love even real if you can’t monetize it?
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce invited top Disney brass to their wedding, which is not surprising given the hefty resources the company has invested in Swift.
This includes:
• Bob Iger, the company’s former CEO and current senior advisor
• David Greenbaum, head of Disney live-action films and 20th Century Studios
• Dana Walden, Disney’s president and chief creative officer

if someone bumping into you and immediately turning around to apologize for it causes you to become so angry you start dipping into some old 1940s era racism to yell at him about it an hour later you've got to be softer than a baby blanket man
@TheBreakdownAB There needs to be more info about ADAP employment supports/participation requirements.
For a lot of folks, it’s not about “getting a job”, it’s about maintaining a job. Disabilities are NOT linear nor predictable.
The uncertainty of these changes must be so stressful 😔
Jennifer Welch: “They’re so terrified that Zohran Mamdani or Barack Obama isn’t white, but they’re smarter, they’re better looking, they’re more liked. Black excellence exposes white mediocrity and they can’t stomach it”
@jayhaykid Sadly, Jackie Robinson Day and his legacy has simply become a marketing and merchandising tool for MLB. They’ve turned an incredibly important cultural and social change into just another money maker.
Funny how the loudest “Canada is broken” voices keep coming from the provinces with the worst premiers running the show.
Here’s the part people skip: your daily life is run by your province, not Ottawa. Healthcare, schools, hospitals, highways, policing, housing approvals, electricity rates. All provincial jurisdiction. The premier you voted for controls almost everything that actually touches your day to day.
Alberta’s economy gets mismanaged by Smith, healthcare gets gutted, and somehow it’s Ottawa’s fault. Saskatchewan posts some of the worst outcomes on healthcare wait times and education funding in the country, then blames “the Laurentian elite.”
These are the same people who vote for cuts, then complain when the cuts hurt. Vote for underfunded hospitals, then post about ER wait times like it’s a national betrayal. Vote against federal transfers and equalization fixes, then act shocked when their own province can’t deliver services.
If your premier controls your hospital wait time, your kid’s classroom size, and your power bill, and all three are getting worse, that’s not a “Canada is broken” problem. That’s a “you elected this” problem.
The data is right there. Most of the “Canada is failing” energy isn’t coming from a place of national decline. It’s coming from provincial governance failures, dressed up as a federal crisis.
