WEEKLY OUTLOOK - May 22-26 #GOLD#EURO#GBP
Because the Fed Chairman sounded a little dovish. He is probably protective since he is aware of the issues in the banking industry. He did make an effort to dampen the market mood by providing fair & unbiased analysis, suggesting that he is still unsure if another increase in US interest rates is necessary. In contrast, predicting extended weaker conditions in the financial industry, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen sounded more worried and expressed her unease. Speaking with the executives of larger banks, she came to a conclusion that more bank mergers might be required to rescue weaker financial institutions from their lows & prevent more stress.
Both have displayed caution, which suggests that the market will be driven by US economic data that will be revealed between May & the time of the policy announcement on June 13โ14.
In one of my Vlogs from last month, I have mentioned that increased interest rates, quantitative tightening (QT), & the current danger of interest rate volatility are unquestionably the root causes of the issue that has weak banks questioning their risk management strategy. The disaster that happened when deposits were withdrawn, impacting on balance sheets & shattering their value, was caused by banks careless investments in US treasuries/products against mismatches (short vs long).
The inflation statistics will dominate market attention, but the PMI & FOMC minutes are also crucial elements. Talks over the US debt ceiling have the potential to significantly influence the market. Because the United States is running out of time and resources that will keep the market exposed.
#GOLD @ $ 1977 - Per my expectations gold fid ease last week before recovering. Good support is around $ 1962-68 that could hold for upward move. Clear break of $ 1995-98 could pave way for $ 2008. A convincing break will pay way for future gains. Else $ 1948.
#EURO @ 1.0807 - On the downside Euro has support around 1.0710, which should hold. But unless 1.0950-80 breaks, further gains will be difficult to attain. Else 1.0660.
#GBP @ 1.2443 - String support is around 1.2330-60, which should hold. A break of 1.2550-80 is required for resumption of up move.
So many ways to make money in this game
If someone can truly disconnect, and focus on just each individual trade and the skillset
The oppurtunities are endless
Funding accounts can be used as leverage once the skill is there
Then can funnel it into a big personal account to build a solidified track record
So many ways to win, but the skillset should be the main priority and focus
