Brahmi Durgaparameshwari Devi at Kamalashile near Kundapura

Shri Brahmi Durgaparameshwari Temple (also known as the Kamalashile Temple) is located in the serene village of Kamalashile, Udupi district, Karnataka. Situated about 35 km from Kundapura and 61 km from Udupi, the temple sits peacefully along the banks of the Kubja River, surrounded by the lush green forests of the Western Ghats.

The main deity is Goddess Durga, worshipped in the form of a lotus-shaped stone Linga representing the divine union of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswathi.

Nearby lies the ancient Suparsha Cave, where rishis once meditated. Devotees often visit the cave to witness the convergence of the three goddesses and the point of origin for the Naga Teertha (Kubja River).

The temple is famous for its delicious and extensive midday Annadahasoha (free meals offered to all devotees).

Traditional wooden and tiled architecture typical of Tulunadu architecture blends beautifully into the dense surrounding nature here.
