In terms of bankers participation in demonstrations and rallies on strike day it has been a good one much better and bigger than the previous one .
Media publicity on every media platform is also encouraging .this reflects wider public support for our just and much delayed demand of 5 days banking week.
Now over to UFBU leadership to sustain this movement momentum till 28 sep when we will go on 3 days strike if till then government does not announce date of implementation of 5 days banking week.

A sea of thousands of bank officers and employees converged at historic Aazad Maidan, Mumbai, transforming the strike into a powerful expression of unity, determination and collective resolve.

I had the privilege of leading this massive gathering of agitated bank officers and addressing the inspired bankers. The energy, enthusiasm and determination displayed by each one of them made one thing absolutely clear — the banking fraternity stands united and will not retreat!

I was joined by Dilip Saha ji, Executive Vice Chairman, @aiboc_in , Anton Saldanha ji, President, @BOIOAMNG , along with several senior AIBOC leaders and other comrades who stood shoulder to shoulder with the striking bankers.

Our struggle is centred around issues that directly affect the dignity, rights and future of the banking fraternity which includes implementation of Five-Day Banking, Fair and equitable PLI, Respect for bilateralism etc. *As such collective bargaining viz a viz negotiated settlements must be honoured and industrial relations must be built on dialogue, not unilateral decisions.* Needless to state, our legitimate service and workplace concerns deserve timely and meaningful resolution.

The magnificent response of more than 2500 bank employees at Azad Maidan has once again demonstrated the strength of collective action and trade union unity.

We are united. We are determined. We shall continue the struggle until justice is achieved.
