@IndianTechGuide So Govt of India run ISRO used public money to develop these tech but transfers it for Free to 6 private entities. Why not get these 6 firms to pay royalty or fees for using these tech for private business devt. ? Where is the RoI for Govt in this ?

@IndianTechGuide Red tape is the superpower of India's bureaucracy. Strict regulations enable them to harass citizens, to deny services rather than ease access to services one is entitled to by law. Bribery and corruption stem from such mindless paperwork, which hugely benefits officials alone.

@IndianTechGuide Considering the public infra in all Indian cities, none of them would qualify for hosting even Asian Games, let alone Olympics, which has much more demanding preconditions. Developed countries hosting Oly use it as 'soft power' but 3rd world countries like India don't deserve it.

@drgurner True. The ultimate goal of education is not knowledge but action. Those who take action are more successful than those who have tons of knowledge but don't put it into action. Academia perhaps only space where acquiring and imparting knowledge to others is considered 'action'.

@markmanson Since prehistoric times humans have sought to live in a 'comfort zone' of predictability and stability. But humanity has come this far striving for this 'comfort zone' thru innovations in technologies, to make life easier. So easy isn't such a bad thing. Complacency is bad though

@sfliberty There's no such thing as "equal rights" as all are not equal. Equality is an unhuman trait. Gender rights activists should promote gender equity rather than gender equality. One should get what's fair n just for themselves, not comparing with what the next person has, or doesn't.

@venkat_fin9 In developed economies freebies / doles tend to discourage people from feeding off the State, as the State provides enough opportunities for everyone to earn their living honestly by hard work. OTC Govts in India love to keep people poor and perennially dependent on Govt freebies
