I have been observing presidential or political spokespersons since 2003, and one thing has become very noticeable.
It used to be a moot concern, but since the APC got into power in 2015, it’s become very glaring: the Political spokespersons under this administration and the previous one lack public speaking training and ability. And it’s such a shame.
Your job is primarily to promote your Principal, pointing out his good features and to do your best to downplay his flaws and use the card of emotion to make the people believe in his credibility.
Sadly, these guys make it very easy for people to take their principal unserious.
If you knew you would not be answering questions, why did you accept the interview in the first place?
If the idea was to disrespect @ruffydfire , guess what? You just made him look credible in the eyes of enlightened Nigerians, cos it pointed out how crooked the APC is.
You, Mr. Playing could easily have answered the question by directing your answers to the other presenters, but you played yourself even further instead by boldly making it clear that you weren’t going to answer the question, because it was asked by him.
If I may ask, would you have answered if another presenter asked it? Clearly not, sir, and that raises a question mark on your character, your personality and the institution that you represent.

That makes it easy for the average Joe in Nigeria to say that it is foolhardy to consider your party as a serious one, because you seem to find it hard to speak to the people you “claim” to have plans for.
I am not disappointed, honestly. Rather, I am very certain that people of your ilk don’t deserve to be in the positions that you find yourselves, and that you got the roles not because of your abilities, but because you were favored to do a particular job, which I would honestly say, you’re doing very poorly, for that matter.

And please, I’m not even a PR person to see that clearly. It’s just basic human optics. My thoughts, though…
