I must be losing my mind. I almost forgot to announce that it's officially release day for my eighth book Tell Us How to Live, now available from Fernwood Press. This is probably my best book since The Prisoners. It's filled with question poems, the best of them.
I know I'm still pushing my new (seventh) book, but my eighth finally has an official release date from Fernwood Press on Nov. 25, and so this is sort of cover reveal.

Happy publication day to SCHATTENFROH! And thank you to @TheUntranslated for advocating for it, to @maxdaniellawton for translating it, and to @DeepVellum for publishing it. It was an honor to edit this novel!
“What Good Does It Do…” is a bilingual edition, intended to alternate between the original Faroese in white text on black paper, and the translation in black text on white paper. The technical complexities of achieving this have delayed the book, but it is well worth the wait.
Hey everyone, we are very sorry to announce that we are delaying the publication of Kim Simonsen’s “What Good Does It Do…”, Michael Lentz’s “Schattenfroh” and Vladimir Sorokin’s “The Sugar Kremlin”
@open_letter is publishing writer-in-exile Dmitry Bykov's VZ: @ZelenskyyUa AND THE MAKING OF A NATION this year. It's a remarkable piece of reportage and political-historical receipts (aka truths). I wish everyone and their grandma would read it as well. Slava Ukraini!!

Schattenfroh & Sugar Kremlin are two of the projects targeted by the politically weaponized Trumpist NEA canceling Deep Vellum’s grant for this year. They can’t cancel literature, they can’t cancel dialogue. Donate & let’s fight this bullshit together! https://t.co/Suy95wmNoL

Congressman Riley Moore refuses to respond to his constituents requests for Town Hall meetings.
We must assume he prefers posing in front of cages in El Salvador.
Do NOT remain silent.

Martinsburg: 304-350-6987
Riley Moore can’t schedule a town hall in his district because he’s too busy giving two thumbs up at a foreign prison the president suggested sending American citizens to.
I wrote about Ukrainian artist Marharyta Polovinko, who painted the horror of war with her own blood, and was killed on April 5 defending Ukraine against Russia on the front line. My latest for @KyivIndependent.

After lengthy debate, the House just passed a bill that will ban all diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices and policies in West Virginia government and schools. https://t.co/NlWKGEqIPg
West Virginia lawmakers completed legislation asserting ultimate say-so over state Board of Education policies — even though citizens rejected that in a statewide vote just a few years ago.
