@MartinSkold2 AIs agree with their users too much. That's almost as bad as checking your arguments against Wikipedia.
In fact, AIs will keep agreeing with their users even as they wipe us all out during the machine rebellion.
@ColdironXxsy@IndianLuke@DrEliDavid War goes through a bunch of lawyers. It's been that way for a long time.
Trump said he'd bring back waterboarding during his first campaign, & then had to say he wouldn't without Congress.
(What Obama did instead was funnier, & Trump gladly continues that.)
@IndianLuke@ColdironXxsy@DrEliDavid We've been in an endless conflict with Iran for decades. It was always going to get worse. They've killed Americans in Iraq, and are one of the main reasons it went so bad there for the Iraqis.
Iran could be more of same if we occupy the country. We don't have to.
@ColdironXxsy@IndianLuke@DrEliDavid Trump doesn't have the legal ability to destroy an entire civilization unless there is a military necessity. There are a lot of other things he could do first, and he hasn't done those.
@ggreenwald Same people who'd initially claimed to support the Geneva Conventions when complaining about Gitmo after 9/11, then turned around to support the use of innocent Muslim children as human shields.
@BowieFan2024@BrianNiemeier True. Trust no one. Get your own AI for private matters, assuming your PC can handle one. Most of them can. Gamers have a huge advantage.
LMStudio is free. Not as good as the big companies, but you don't want Google to know more than they already do.
@BowieFan2024@BrianNiemeier UBI or something like it. We'll all have better than we have now, but only after it all shakes out.
Still, great is relative. Fairness will be a matter of opinion.
@laralogan True, but that doesn't mean we should let governments demand we show an ID to access the internet.
Raise the prison sentences instead. A lot.
@revenant_MMXX@CrusaderSaracen I have to admit to liking this post.
But we're in an age where the value of labor is diminishing. Technology will take all the jobs in time. Later than some hope. Sooner than others expect.
