@EracuStudios Players are right 99% of the time when they say there's a problem. They're right 50% of the time when they try to identify the problem, and they're right 1% of the time when they suggest a solution.
But if they say there's a problem, there is one!
@TheGodMurdoch I'd love to make a video with you testing the alpha for https://t.co/x48VfoSeNr. It's two player versus, so we can play one another and chat if that works for you!
Don't forget to ask the agent how it implemented things:
> recalculate-costs loads all ships into memory. This is O(N) memory + N individual SQL round-trips inside one transaction.
You have to just start making them and get people to play. Paper prototype first. Write down the rules and DO NOT change them during a play session.
Also, be warned that a lot of game design is staring something like this for an hour, changing a 3 to a 4, staring at it for another hour, and changing it back to a 3.
@Subnautica I'm loving the preview, but please fix it so that "enter at your own risk" means something different than "if you stray 10 meters across this line the only way to get your tadpole back will be to install mods to enable cheats."
@SkyGaming Nice! We did nullsec for awhile then hisec games. I was also in TEARS with my alt. We were the ones that were shutting down incursions for awhile because we figured out a way to basically attack hisec incursion fleets at will without triggering concord.
@SkyGaming I'd love to do a match vs you and happy to do it in a public forum if you'd like. FWIW, I played Eve as my main game from 2008 to 2015 or so and some of the brutal mindset is here.

The ships can be permanently destroyed.
@SkyGaming Ships cost points towards your allotment. So you can have a smaller number of better ships, or a larger number of weaker. But they can also level up, and with more experienced crews they'll be stronger for the same points cost:
@SkyGaming It's a PVP, turn-based tactics game in testnet alpha. You can get 10 free spaceships a month, or buy more. Though testnet funny money for now.
With those ships, you battle another player over control points. It's fully onchain, no web2 backend.
