@faceuh8@thegoldenspike It's bad. It'd mark it my top worst 10 of Oscar winners I've seen, but I would need to see it to confirm it. My surprise is that CIMARRON isn't on that list -- it is unwatchably racist.
@nobodyknows2322 Speaking personally, it's obvious a whole lot of pandemic policy was driven by personal narcissism. It's blatantly obvious with Hotez, and Fauci just came up as a smug piece of shit when all was said and done. (FWIW, my opinion COVID was a lab leak of a natural COVID strain).
@nobodyknows2322 Zero interest and Uwe Boll is a massive reg flag, but Armie Hammer is an idiot or desperate for work if he didn't realize that about Uwe Boll.
@nobodyknows2322 I've liked some of Armie Hammer's performances (I think he's really good in MIRROR, MIRROR) but he's a weirdo idiot who has been softly ostracized in Hollywood. (Probably due to the cannibal bullshit).
@chickensauce843@regularaugust I prefer the original THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH, as Doris Day is just not a good fit for Hitchcock and I just find her version "Que Sera Sera" painful.
@nobodyknows2322@senschuh This tracks, I haven't spent any time in Virginia since 1996. Went to UVA and then took a job in New Jersey.(Navy brat; Dad retired, took a job with Intel in Oregon in 1995; sister went to Longwood and then moved elsewhere.)
@nobodyknows2322 It doesn't help that the economic biases of the left are landlords and student debt. The last is .. not an issue, and outside of big cities, landlords are just corporations who don't want you to fuck up the unit.
As someone who leans center-right, THE ODYSSEY discourse (which I have'nt seen yet) has been thouroghly clariying about which bullshit accounts I should mute or block.
@bendreyfuss In the Ralph Fiennes starring THE RETURN, which very much explicitly demythologizes Homer, Odysseus' reunion with his dog is one of the most affecting things in the film.
