All arguments totally bogus, and debunked multiple times, and simply reek of an uninformed UC bias, from someone who has never faced any real discrimination.

Let's pick it apart one by one.

[1] Reservation kills merit.

Absolutely elitist and supremacist statement to make. Tore apart by Supreme Court justices themselves -
(a) Justice Chinappa Reddy (Vasanth Kumar 1985)
(b) Justice DY Chandrachud (2019)
Their take was that "the merit argument is the most elitist roadblock put in the path of social justice by the small group that is troubled by equality". Also that "merit must be measured as a "social good", nothing else".

[2] There are numerous cases: where economically backward class people (eg. Farmers) sold their land to help their kids prepare for competitive exams.
[3] But, they lost that seat due to a privileged reserved kid, whose family took the reservation benefit for the 3rd time.

That is why the 10% EWS was created by Narendra Modi, and took 50% limit to 60% from 2019 onwards, but caste supremacists very conveniently pretend that there is no EWS at all. Note that SCs, STs, OBCs cannot apply under EWS, hence all that's left is Hindu UCs and Minorities.

So even after getting 10% EWS (for a population that's barely 10-12%) you keep crying?

[4] Equality of outcomes can never be assured. That is how life is:- - People love to ask: why are there more upper caste people in government jobs? - It is like asking: why are there more upper caste people in IPL?

When for two millennia, inequality of entry was assured via force, is it wrong to legislate and make policy to at least try and ensure some equality of outcome? How can one be so history-blind and so deeply casteist?

[5] Some geniuses are trying to bring reservation in private jobs. In India, good jobs are scanty to begin with. - Impose more restrictions on job creators, they will leave India. How will they run a business if they have to hire people who can't compete on merit to begin with? - Politicians don't give a shit b/c their own kids are settled abroad. - Their job is to appease. And, win votes. And, they are doing a commendable job on this.

Reservations in private sector are fully justified.
Why?
Because most of the wealth of private sector businesses is built on top of - near-slave labour exploitation (e.g. Gig economy), huge tax benefits from governments, near-free incentives from time to time to large corporates, deep inter-generational linkages that bring untold benefits, and so on.
And diversity at workplace will have huge benefits in even the short-term. Making the workplace more humane, to begin with. So don't be so elitist please.

Rich folks who have a problem with Modi and India are leaving in droves anyway each year - thousands and thousands - even without private sector reservations.

All that will matter is a good industrial policy that helps people produce more, at lower costs, and sell better. Workforce diversity then will be a huge asset.

Totally typical of you to hate diversity. But sad.

[6] What needs to be assured is the equality of opportunities. - That means good public education, health, infra -- from which everyone benefits. - It gives people a similar ground to compete. - And, for this very purpose taxes are collected.

You speak from the vantage position of someone who has never been socially discriminated against. You have no clue at all of what even it is. You think only economic resources can bridge the social gap. Sad.

There was a reason the constitution-makers made SEBC the basis of reservations - Socially and Educationally Backward Classes - the E did not stand for Economically. They knew what kind of a society India was, and is.

So wake up and stop hating diversity, and your own people - 85% of them.
