@LNER@HughKirkdale Hi @LNER - I still haven’t heard back on case ref LNER-260507-3869561 despite promise here to escalate this. Can you please update me?
@LNER 1/2 My mother, who is 86 and has advanced macular degeneration (so is nearly blind) had a ticket today from KX to York at 11am. Being nearly blind, my husband escorted her to KX and they asked for assistance with her ticket for the right train and platform
@LNER 2/2 The LNER representative put her on the train and they set off. Halfway home to York the ticket inspector told her she should have been on the Grand Central service and charged her a £50 fine. She was very upset and I am, frankly, outraged. Shame on you
@LNER Update to this, my husband said not only did she get escorted onto this train, but two other members of LNER told them they were on the right train! Surely you will reimburse her for what is clearly not her fault?

@LeShuttle_Help Why did we book the 1046 train if you don’t have capacity? We’ve been sitting here for 1.5 hours with no indication of when we’ll board? Just being told we’ll get on a train ‘when there’s capacity.’ What was the point of booking?
@LeShuttle what’s happening with the 1046 departure? We’ve been here 1.5 hours sitting in a queue waiting to board and keep getting told we’ll get on a train ‘if there’s capacity!’ Why?
Hey @tesco_insurance - you quoted my student daughter £70 for a month’s backpacking insurance and then when she agreed gave her 24 hours? She tried to call just now to query it, you said it’d cost her £50 in admin to correct your error? Is that right??
@LNER Hi LNER, when will the 7.30 for Newcastle leave? Been sitting on it for an hour now with no announcements whatsoever?? Trainline just says ‘delayed?’
Labour’s assault on family farms is estimated to raise £520 million a year.
At the same time, we’re spending £3 billion a year on hotels for illegal migrants.
I put this to the Labour minister. Her response will stun you.
Watch for yourselves…
