I have watched the video and I am deeply disturbed by the traumatic ordeal our colleague was subjected to. I strongly condemn his abduction and appeal for his immediate, unconditional release.
No advocate should face abduction or intimidation for performing professional duties. Representing a client must never make an advocate a target. Such attacks undermine the rule of law.
Armed men wearing balaclavas cannot be allowed to move around abducting people with impunity. I urge @DCI_Kenya to act swiftly to secure his safe return and bring those responsible to justice.
I stand with Abshir's family and friends during this distressing time.

Congratulations to the 41 newly admitted advocates!
Welcome to the Bar, and best wishes as you begin your careers.
Your legal skills are needed across the country. As you find your footing, look beyond traditional practice and explore emerging opportunities.
Be curious, keep learning and carve your niche. There are many ways to build a fulfilling legal career while serving society.
Welcome, colleagues
Yesterday, I joined my colleagues from the JSC in an engagement with the National Assembly’s Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC) to advocate for increased funding for the Judiciary and JSC.
Over the last four years, sustained engagements have contributed to significant growth in the budget, supporting improved service delivery and access to justice.
Key funding priorities were informed by institutional needs and feedback received during public hearings.
We presented the previous financial year’s budget performance and outlined priorities for the supplementary budget.
I appreciate the continued support of JLAC members, many of whom are fellow advocates, in championing adequate funding for the JSC and judiciary.
How does the JSC handle complaints against judges, judicial officers and staff?
Accountability matters, and so does understanding the process.
In this video, I address this important question about the Judicial Service Commission’s work. Watch as we bring the conversation closer to you.

🎙️ INTRODUCING CHAMBER 10 WITH JACQUELINE INGUTIAH!
Where Law Meets Life!
What happens when we put down the files and make time for a conversation?
Inspired by my early days as a young advocate in Kisumu, Chamber 10 was a space within the Kisumu Law Courts where advocates across generations came together to learn, exchange ideas, share experiences, mentor one another and, of course, enjoy a good laugh!
This podcast brings that same spirit to life.
Starting 20th October 2026, join me for candid conversations, inspiring journeys, practical insights and the untold stories behind the legal profession.
Whether you're an advocate, a law student or simply curious about life and the law, there's a seat for you at Chamber 10!
Pull up a chair. Let's talk!
