The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) strongly condemns the reported abduction and disappearance of Advocate Abshir Ahmedsadak Abdi of Abshir & Njagi Advocates, who was reportedly abducted on 2nd November 2026 along Muchai Road, off Ngong Road, Nairobi. His whereabouts remain unknown.
The Society is deeply concerned by reports of armed individuals, some allegedly dressed in police uniforms, and the possibility that his disappearance may be linked to his role as a complainant and key witness in a criminal case before the Makadara Law Courts. The allegations of threats and intimidation warrant urgent, independent and impartial investigations.
LSK demands the immediate establishment of his whereabouts and safe return, alongside thorough investigations by the National Police Service, DCI and IPOA into the circumstances of his disappearance. All persons found culpable must be held accountable.
The Society stands in solidarity with Advocate Abshir Ahmedsadak Abdi, his family, colleagues and the legal fraternity. The safety and security of Advocates must be guaranteed, and no one should be intimidated or attacked for discharging their professional duties.
WE DEMAND HIS IMMEDIATE PRODUCTION, URGENT INVESTIGATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY. THE RULE OF LAW MUST PREVAIL.

I have watched the video and I am deeply disturbed by the traumatic ordeal our colleague was subjected to. I strongly condemn his abduction and appeal for his immediate, unconditional release.
No advocate should face abduction or intimidation for performing professional duties. Representing a client must never make an advocate a target. Such attacks undermine the rule of law.
Armed men wearing balaclavas cannot be allowed to move around abducting people with impunity. I urge @DCI_Kenya to act swiftly to secure his safe return and bring those responsible to justice.
