@unreMARKLEble The brand is her, she is the product and once finally understand how fabulous she really is you will throw open your wallet to buy anything she is selling so you can drink in her aura.
@tonyszko@Claudia_4456 To be honest the border crossing experience has never been great, I first went to US almost 20 years ago and the border personnel were not pleasant. And the anecdotes you hear now just says no thanks.
@erictronai@s8mb@ATabarrok No, but it lowers your energy rating, which can affect your mortgage or make it illegal to rent if that pushes below the threshold, it's also very difficult to get planning permission in new blocks of flats
Cannot shake the feeling that Britain is about to put someone who’d be a popular Coronation Street character into its highest public office and I have absolutely no idea what people think this will achieve.
@meilaoban Its still very low, but the percentage of homes with some air conditioning in the UK has doubled in the Uk in the last 5 years. I see plenty of tik toks of installers on Tik Tok advetising their installations of mini splits, £1500 to £2000 per room.
@DAaronovitch Sorry he promised growth would be no1 priority and taxes would not rise a lot. His maifesto was a huge lie. Plenty of talk that he was unable to make a decision and just would not tell people what he wanted, or what they should do. He was useless.
@Arnold_Platon The US has been richer than Europe for a long time, but the difference 20 years ago was not that large. The US embraced fracking and cheap energy Europe saddled itself with Net Zero and high energy costs, plus more regulation.
@alansritchie@NicholasOShaug1 Thats not good, if you wont be allowed to demolish and build a block of flats though. It will just drive out everyone who is either not on a high income or in social housing.
@FuturistPartyGB The problem is air conditioning lowers your energy rating, the regs make it extremely difficult to make provision for air conditioning in apartment blocks. But now we have flats that are literally cooking their residents
@RichardFar79@ClaireCoutinho It's cheap marginally, but it does not run 100%, battery storage is not cheap and can last a few hours , but we often have multiple days where there is not enough wind.
@Vero_Dei People also ignore that the biggest support for the Nazis was amongst university students. Revolutions are the product of upper middle class discontent.
@eitherohgren Besides,we are having a great time on a month long vacation at an extremely expensive sports event does say that maybe it's not that deep. People laughing at 500 flavours of cereal, or 20 types of DRr pepper does not mean they want a US supermarket.
