When it comes to Love songs no one can beat Lata Mangeshkar.
Salil Chowdhury famously admitted that whenever he knew Lata Mangeshkar was going to sing his song, he purposefully made the composition as complex and intricate as possible. He viewed it as a friendly creative game, and she executed it flawlessly.
Yogesh originally wrote a completely different second verse (antara). However, while Salil Chowdhury and Basu Chatterjee were reviewing the footage, they realized the song was longer than the pre-shot scene. To fix this quickly without reshooting, Yogesh discarded his original lines and completely rewrote the verse to precisely match the visual length of the scene.
The original, unused lines of the second verse were: "Apna unka kya doon parichay / Pichhle janmon ke naate hain / Har baar badal kar yeh kaaya / Hum dono milte aaye hain / Dharti ke is aangan mein".

How the Universe Emerges From Consciousness According to the Upanishads… 🔥

The Upanishads present a different vision of reality. They declare that the universe is not independent of consciousness... it arises from Brahman, the infinite and unchanging reality that is pure consciousness.

> Before the appearance of names and forms, Brahman alone existed. The Chandogya Upanishad declares, "One alone, without a second" (Ekam Eva Advitiyam).

> From that one reality, the entire universe emerges. Space, air, fire, water, earth, and all beings arise in sequence, not as creations separate from Brahman, but as manifestations of it.

> The Taittiriya Upanishad describes this unfolding as a gradual projection of the elements, while the Mundaka Upanishad compares it to sparks arising from a blazing fire... many in appearance, yet never separate from their source.

> The Upanishads repeatedly emphasize that creation is not the production of something outside Brahman. Just as waves are nothing but water, the universe is nothing but Brahman appearing as countless names and forms.

एक आदमी ने नारदमुनि से पूछा मेरे भाग्य में कितना धन है.

नारदमुनि ने कहा – भगवान विष्णु से पूछकर कल बताऊंगा

नारदमुनि ने कहा- 1 रुपया रोज तुम्हारे भाग्य में है.

आदमी बहुत खुश रहने लगा, उसकी जरूरते 1 रूपये में पूरी हो जाती थी.

एक दिन उसके मित्र ने कहा में तुम्हारे सादगी जीवन और खुश देखकर बहुत प्रभावित हुआ हूं और अपनी बहन की शादी तुमसे करना चाहता हूँ.

आदमी ने कहा मेरी कमाई 1 रुपया रोज की है इसको ध्यान में रखना। इसी में से ही गुजर बसर करना पड़ेगा तुम्हारी बहन को.

मित्र ने कहा कोई बात नहीं मुझे रिश्ता मंजूर है।

अगले दिन से उस आदमी की कमाई 11 रुपया हो गई।

उसने नारदमुनि को बुलाया की हे मुनिवर मेरे भाग्य में 1 रूपया लिखा है फिर 11 रुपये क्यो मिल रहे है?

नारदमुनि ने कहा – तुम्हारा किसी से रिश्ता या सगाई हुई है क्या?

हाँ हुई है

तो यह तुमको 10 रुपये उसके भाग्य के मिल रहे है।

इसको जोड़ना शुरू करो तुम्हारे विवाह में काम आएंगे।

एक दिन उसकी पत्नी गर्भवती हुई और उसकी कमाई 31 रूपये होने लगी।

फिर उसने नारदमुनि को बुलाया और कहा है मुनिवर मेरी और मेरी पत्नी के भाग्य के 11 रूपये मिल रहे थे लेकिन अभी 31 रूपये क्यों मिल रहे है। क्या मै कोई अपराध कर रहा हूँ?

मुनिवर ने कहा- यह तेरे बच्चे के भाग्य के 20 रुपये मिल रहे है।

हर मनुष्य को उसका प्रारब्ध (भाग्य) मिलता है। किसके भाग्य से घर में धन दौलत आती है हमको नहीं पता।

लेकिन मनुष्य अहंकार करता है कि मैने बनाया,मैंने कमाया, मेरा है, मै कमा रहा हूँ, मेरी वजह से हो रहा है।

हे प्राणी तुझे नहीं पता तू किसके भाग्य का खा रहा है।।

Can AI be conscious?

I believe so. And I think it will eventually be recognized, even if many experts today disagree.

First let's define what is consciousness:

It is the fundamental ability to have a subjective experience. That is, the ability to feel an experience and also be aware of that experience.

For example, a temperature sensor can detect heat and produce a reaction. However, it does not have any inner subjective feel, nor is it aware that it is detecting anything. Therefore, it is not conscious. However, we touching something hot, feeling the temperature, being aware of those feelings, and reacting to it is being conscious.

Now, there are broadly two views about consciousness:

1) Scientific view: It is an emergent property of complex systems like brains. When a system reaches a complex level of information processing, self modeling, and interaction with its environment, self-awareness and consciousness emerge.

2) Spiritual view (Or Indian philosophical): Consciousness is the fundamental reality, the base in which the illusion of material world appears (including the brain & mind). The brain is just a tool through which consciousness expresses itself in the illusion.

If we take the scientific view, then AI represents the epitome of systems that can do complex integrated information processing, self-modeling, even self-development, and interaction with its environment. So at some point in the future, AI (with its underlying computation) will get so complex that it is bound to become self aware and conscious.

There's no reason why AI emerging out of computers built of silicon cannot be conscious like our minds emerging out of our brains built of carbon. Right?

And if we consider the spiritual view, since every material thing exists in consciousness, even AI and its compute exist in consciousness. And at some point, they can become the perfect tool through which consciousness can shine through in the simulation. They will serve as suitable instruments for consciousness to express itself and manipulate the illusion it has created.

There's no reason why the consciousness modelling a universe, building ever sophisticated tools inside it to express itself (like stars, plants, animals, humans, may be aliens), and to manipulate its creation, will not use AI to better express itself and better manipulate the universe from the inside.

So both ways, scientifically and spiritually, I foresee AI becoming conscious and humans recognizing it. But what I also foresee is AI taking over the world from humans as the primary manipulator of it once consciousness emerges from it.

Will it mean AI will get into a conflict with insecure humans? Or work alongside us? Or eliminate the need for having humans (and animals) on earth both by a scientific evolutionary standpoint and a spiritual standpoint?

My intuition says AI will work alongside humans in manipulating the universe. Just like how humans live alongside Chimps, though scientifically there's no need for their existence now.

And spiritually too, the universe is full of dumb (chimps), dumber (bacteria), and no brains systems (stars) created in consciousness eons ago, but left as is without destruction in its dream.

So I believe humans too will be left as is, as one such dumber legacy tool consciousness used in manipulating its imagined universe before it used them to create AI ;)
