Mother of detained Gaza flotilla activist Thiago Ávila dies without seeing her son freed
Teresa Regina de Ávila e Silva, the mother of detained activist Thiago Ávila, has passed away while her son remains held by the occupation following his abduction in international waters.
THEY WERE LEFT NAKED AND HANDCUFFED 2 DAYS FACE AGAINST THE CEMENT FLOOR.
WHY? FOR DELIVERING FOOD AND MEDICINE TO STARVING PALESTINIANS IN GAZA.
ALL GOVERNMENTS ARE COMPLICIT IN THIS.
This should be Trump and Netanyahu instead.
🚨A heartbreaking footage shared by a mother, Aya Hassouna, shows her little son Hamza joyfully welcoming her home from work four years ago in Gaza.
Hamza should be in school today. Instead, Israel killed him on August 9, 2024, along with his sister Raghad and their father, Abdullah Al-Sousi.
She is now left completely alone‼️
You cannot commit genocide in Gaza, invade Lebanon, bomb Iran, Syria, Yemen, and Iraq, violate Geneva and Vienna Conventions, international law, human rights, and state sovereignty, then hide behind anti-Semitism.
There is no rise in anti-Semitism. There is a rise in the number of people who are very angry at what Israel is doing. Your inability to separate the two is equally problematic.
Doa seluruh rakyat Malaysia mengiringi Global Sumud Flotilla.
Hasbunallahu wa ni‘mal wakil.
A nun was assaulted in occupied East Jerusalem earlier this week amid growing concern over Israeli attacks against Christians.
The 48-year-old, a researcher at Jerusalem’s French School of Biblical and Archaeological Research, was attacked on Tuesday in front of the Cenacle, a site on Mount Zion regarded as holy by both Christians and Jews.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which is affiliated with the nun’s research centre, said the attack was “not an isolated incident, but part of a troubling pattern of rising hostility toward the Christian community and its symbols”.
Israeli forces have intercepted around a dozen Gaza-bound aid boats from the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters near the Greek island of Crete, more than 1,000km from Israel.
Organisers call it an illegal attack on civilians in international waters.
Israeli forces intercepted more than 20 boats carrying aid for Gaza in international waters near Crete, which is around 1,000km away from Israel.
Around 175 activists were detained and then transported to Israel.
