Power no longer looks like power.
It looks like: compute energy supply chains algorithms payment rails shipping lanes data centers
I follow where leverage concentrates.
Not the headlines.
No culture wars.
@dwr Dan nothing changed.
There's a reason this vid is making an appearance now, it's not a coincidence.
It will be like a videogame trailer, but the game will never ship... Just demos.
@VaibhavSisinty This is like those videogames that show a cutscene not showing any of the gameplay.
Of course they are showing this now, it's marketing for their IPO.
@orrdavid It's a narrative perpetuated by the people who want to pump spaceX.
It's simply not viable. Intuitively we know those, and the analysis bears this out.
See my last post on Sunday puchai, who also pumped it.
@LegacyPathCA@BostonChris23 You shouldn't be forced to invest in Canadian only countries.
You'd see alot of financial engineering by the popular canafuan companies to take advantage of the forced influx.
@TexasOncologist Oil.if price shoots up, US will act. If it doesn't it's less if a concern.
That's the driver.
CPI print can be blamed on other factors.
Why is Sundar Pichai talking about data centres in space?
When Elon Musk or Peter Thiel pushes space infrastructure, I mostly ignore it. The incentive is obvious.
If people believe the next AI choke point moves off Earth, they benefit.
But Pichai made me pause.
Why is he talking about it, google is a tech competitor.
Turn out, Google has exposure to SpaceX (~6%). If SpaceX ever becomes a multi-trillion-dollar company, that stake becomes enormously valuable.
So maybe the real story isn’t whether space data centres will happen.
Maybe the real story is how powerful people make unlikely futures feel inevitable.
They don’t need the future to arrive.
They just need capital to believe it might.
@niccruzpatane@SpaceX Ron Baron is pushing SpaceX because he is massively financially exposed to it and needs the market to believe the upside story.
You can see this everywhere, whoever has exposure is going full tilt trying to pump.
@aeberman12@biancoresearch Art, it's about who gains leverage over time.
It's the Iranians one 1 condition. The price of oil conti yes to climb higher.
USA leverage is to make a deal quick. Iranians the opposite.
@BenjaminDEKR Orbital data centers are complete science fiction.
So are "mass drivers" on the moon.
If you believe this you are being sold a dream. I don't mean that disrespectfully, but don't fall for this.
@aeberman12 I think the key insight is that the balls in Iran's court.
They are calling the shots.
They know that the US is unwilling to do a ground invasion.
