Who want's this? Seriously! Who ever wanted this? Who wants to just randomly type prompt into a tiny window without seeing the context of the project or conversation. And why does this small text box take literally seconds to load in 2026?!
@gdb Please fix the codex app performance on Windows and get rid of the popout Window. No one uses it and it serves just to infuriate people when they click the icon and expect codes window to open.
@prd_008 By trying to cater to the lowest common denominator, you will end up with the lowest common denominator app. Delete the split and add one user preference to hide coding stuff/terminology/UI like git and pull requests.
@TokenGremlin It's hard to put into words how incredibly bad the app is. It's so slow, so laggy, so clunky, the UX is so terrible, and there are FUCKING ADS every time you want to start a new thread!
@ishaan_n_shah@SimonLUCAS_CG@GDrettakis "precomputation for real-time global illumination" is a bit of oxymoron. Real-time display of precomputed data is not what ppl think when they hear "real-time global illumination". By your definition, every game with baked lighting had "real-time global illumination" for decades.
@ProceduralMinds It's just impossible to overstate how bad FAB and Epic Launcher are. It boggles my mind to think they are made by the same company that makes Unreal Engine.
@VatsalAmbastha Just say you used AI for assistance with tool development. It's accurate, the players that will actually buy your game won't care, and screaming anti-AI activist don't buy games in the first place.
@github@AnthropicAI And with GitHub Copilot Pro subscription, you can get up to 5 prompts with it before exceeding the usage quote, if you use low enough reasoning ๐ฅณ
