The Academy is on record. The public health crisis of gun violence needs immediate attention by policymakers. As we witness another horrific act of violence in one of our nation's schools and the senseless loss of life at Robb Elementary School in TX, reform cannot wait.
@MileHighBecky A nurse I work with developed a new dressing that is in clinical trials. Nurses in our MICU during covid developed many of the covid protocols including using continuous blood glucose monitoring technology on hospitalized patients. Let alone the volume of research nurses produce
@SenSherrodBrown 1- paid family leave 2- free access to early childhood education 3- student loan forgiveness + affordable access to higher education 4- term limits + competency exams and ethical evaluations before serving in all public offices
I’ve been approving assignment extensions. Big reminder that students lead complex, busy and stressful lives. If I can help ease their burden just a bit by giving extra time - so be it.
@Dennis_NJ_FL@MaxEpstein5 @CadeyHarrel Is it possible to get a source on that or some data? New York is supplementing their workforce with national guard for staffing shortages. The nursing shortage started before the vaccine was ever an issue
@MabelPines710 @CadeyHarrel While I agree with your comment I think most people are keeping the assumption of unvaccinated as people who are eligible but refuse to. Also ACOG has approved the vaccine for pregnant women and delta is hitting them hard so they should absolutely be getting it
@Dennis_NJ_FL@MaxEpstein5 @CadeyHarrel Can you please tell me which hospitals are not filling beds because of lack of staff? This is not my experience nor any of my friends. The staff that is there is being flexed. But it would be easy to blame the vaccine for this I guess.
“Anybody inside that building... ought to be face down in handcuffs right now,” says fmr. DC police chief Charles Ramsey.
It’s the first time the Capitol has been breached since the British burned the building in August 1814, according to the U.S. Capitol Historical Society.
@Jim_Jordan Don’t you think you should be focusing on Ohio? We’re surging with #COVID19 Ohioans are dying and the intensive care units are filling up.. the president has a whole team of people fighting for his recounts, he’ll be just fine without you.
