Industry 4.0 is the future of manufacturing, and it’s not your grandma’s factory (… unless maybe your grandma is Judy Jetson). That’s why Gateway launched its Advanced Manufacturing Technology program: to train next-generation technicians for 21st Century Smart Factories.
A real pleasure 4 me to visit our young Foxconn employees from @Wisconn_Valley being trained at our LCD fab in Taiwan. They’ve been there for weeks & will stay 4 further training. Hometown include Racine, Kenosha, Cleveland WI, Minneapolis; among them is a @SmartCitiesWI winner👍
@raykou Advanced manufacturing jobs for industry 4.0 will not take jobs away. It will exploit Technology NOT people. Let the robots do the dirty and unsafe jobs.
@raykou Advanced Manufacturing degree has been created for Foxconn. There is a basic Industry 4.0 class teachers in high school can teach if they get trained @gatewaytech
@raykou The Real School had 9th graders in mechanical engineering taking autocad. Studies show they were just as successful as night students. @gatewaytech
@raykou Fanuc ZDT is zero down time and @gatewaytech is going to have the opportunity to learn how to use this. It is internet of things in action. Example - it identifies a problem ahead of time and automatically sends a replacement part.
@TheREALSchoolwi#Robotics took 2nd Place (out of 56 teams) in a timed event at the Sumobot by @gatewaytech at the @SCJohnson iMet Center!
Their bot used its claw mechanism to magnetize and demagnetize 10 washers, then put them in a container. It only took them 1 min 6 sec!
