You can brighten the face of a needy person by showing compassion; providing support without expecting anything in return. God's blessings will come your way.
Imagine coming from the very interiors of Teso North. Imagine studying hard all your life. Becoming the best student in all the schools you attended despite coming of the very definition of humble background.
Your hardwork finally pays off, your MP notices you and sponsors you to become the First Male Pilot from the Iteso Community. You finish Flying School with flying colours. You do very well that your school employs you to become an instructor immediately. Your humble parents come to your graduation ceremony, you fly them over the Kenyan capital. You finally achieved what you alway wanted in life. It's now time to lift your parents from the lows of life.
Then 27 days after your graduation, you crash while training another student, and your story ends there.
What is life. Why was he working so hard to only gain nothing. WHAT IS LIFE SURELY?

PBORA is part of the Kenyan Delegation to the 2026 UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development, the UN platform for reviewing progress towards the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The HLPF brings together governments, UN agencies, civil society, the private sector, academia, and other stakeholders to exchange insights, showcase innovative solutions, and strengthen partnerships that advance sustainable, inclusive, and resilient development.
Central to the HLPF is the presentation of Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs), in which countries share progress, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned in the implementation of the SDGs. Kenya has engaged in three VNRs in 2017, 2020 and 2024, and is scheduled to present its fourth VNR during the 2027 HLPF. Participation in HLPF 2026 provides a strategic opportunity for the Kenyan delegation to benchmark with other countries and gather insights for preparation of Kenya’s Fourth Voluntary National Review.
PBORA’s participation reflects the Government’s commitment and efforts in creating an enabling environment for public benefit organizations (PBOs), enhancing the sector’s contribution towards the SDGs and strengthening multi-agency and multi-stakeholder collaboration in advancing Kenya’s sustainable development agenda.
PBORA remains committed to supporting recognition of the contribution of PBOs across all SDGs. ^CN

According to Gachagua, the DCP candidate must be announced the winner, or the election should be cancelled. So what was the point of holding the election? The difference between him and Rao is that Gachagua holds a press conference before the results are announced, while Rao held his after the results. A very dangerous approach to opposition politics.
In the past two days, representatives from 98 Public Benefit Organizations engaged deeply with critical compliance topics, including Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), annual reporting obligations, and sound governance practices. The training was highly interactive, with participants actively engaging facilitators, sharing real operational challenges, and leaving with practical tools to strengthen compliance within their organizations. Sessions on AML/CFT drew particular interest, reflecting the sector's growing awareness of its role in safeguarding Kenya's financial system. For PBORA, this level of engagement is expected to translate into stronger compliance across the sector. Well-governed, compliant PBOs are better positioned to build donor confidence and support Kenya's broader efforts against illicit financial flows, outcomes the Authority anticipates will follow as lessons from the training are put into practice. Building on this momentum, the Authority has scheduled further training sessions in September and December this year, extending this capacity-building drive to more regions and reaching even more organizations across the sector. This is part of PBORA's continued commitment to a well-informed, compliant, and empowered PBO sector.

@geraldbitok As a matter of fact, SACCOs have been buying Treasury Bonds and Bills with approval from delegates. BTW, I saw a blogger campaigning for panic withdrawals from SACCOs! Do they know SACCO savings are not like savings in the bank? Members take loans; money is in members' pockets.
The Authority is committed at the highest level to support all Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) at risk of terrorist financing. Members of the Authority's board led by the Chairperson, Hon Mwambu Mabongah, are being trained on Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) with a view to building their capacity around CFT policy environment. A multi-agency team, including the Management of the Authority is also in Naivasha to develop risk mitigation plan for the at-risk NPOs after the approval of recently developed NPO Risk-Based Framework as well as risk profiling and categorisation mechanism, as part of Kenya's wider strategy to Counter the Financing of Terrorism. Our Director General, Dr Laxmana Kiptoo, has concluded a high-level 5-day workshop on terrorism financing and targeted financial sanctions in Arusha, Tanzania, alongside senior officials from Kenya's National Police Service and the National Counter Terrorism Center.
The training was held at Mount Meru Hotel from June 22–26, 2026 and covered terrorism financing risk assessment, Financial Action Task Force e ( FATF) standards, and TFS compliance obligations, among other critical topics.
Tanzania was deliberately chosen as the host country. Having successfully exited the FATF grey list after being listed in October 2022, Tanzania offers Kenya a practical roadmap for addressing Anti-Money Laundering/ Counter Financing Terrorism (AML/CFT )deficiencies and achieving delisting.
Kenya was grey listed in February 2024. Since then, the country has enacted landmark legislation, including the AML/CFT Laws (Amendment) Act and the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, and has implemented 29 of FATF's 40 recommendations.
PBORA has contributed through implementation of a risk-based monitoring framework for non-profit organisations and a nationwide AML/CFT sensitisation programme for the Non Profit Organization (NPO) sector. ^MN

As trusted actors in development and humanitarian work, Public Benefit Organisations can be vulnerable to misuse by terrorist financiers. Over these two days, participants gained practical tools to identify, assess, and mitigate terrorism financing risks — adopting a risk-based approach in line with FATF Recommendation 8. Together, we are building a resilient, compliant, and empowered PBO sector. We thank @UNODC and the @Kenya National NPO Working Group for their invaluable partnership in this initiative.
