@eurostar delays can happen but your information provision could really use improvement. It's now 20:01 and we're still in Brussels waiting for train crew, but your own train status page is still showing us leaving here 40 minutes in the past.
@Protons4B @robertjwhitney I considered one for my flat but I couldn't make the upfront cost work (versus an electric shower). Quite expensive and not cheap to install either.
@JonathanWaxman1 Agreed the governments have done a good job with CfD and disincentivising coal, but it’s likely that would have happened under other govts too, with wind and solar getting cheaper. What’s the alternative history? Do we say ‘good job for not being a blocker’? (also, onshore wind).
@mwmoedinger There's a great book, 'The Warm Dry Home', which looks at how humidity becomes an issue in older buildings, not because of design issues, but maintenance issues, like water ingress, condensation, blocked ventilation, and ground levels around the house. (https://t.co/XcZdqln72J)
@MattZeitlin Big assumption: that the commute involves driving. If you're walking, cycling or even taking some form of subway / rail, it can be healthy and pleasant.
@timothymortimer@betateach@heatpolicyrich@theheatinghub It's also worth keeping in mind that Swansea is very exposed to wind-driven rain and that the cavity is there for a reason. In less exposed areas, it's less of an issue. Exposure map here: https://t.co/YoDcECMYfP
@AnnieLeymarie@PeteK_AQ Did you install it yourself or did you find a good installer? I'm keen to install something like this but struggling to find someone who knows what they're talking about.
@Polycam3D I've actually done this in advance but found that rental companies care about tiny scratches that don't show up in the 3D scan.. This was two years ago, maybe I should try again with gaussian splats...
@philipsargent@AbigailDombey 1) deriving consumption from a device's maximum output 2) using the thermal output of an ASHP as electrical consumption, ignoring COPs of 300%+ 3) equating single room heating with whole house heating 4) assuming 40% higher efficiency for IR when they are controlled on air temp
The incredible @CarolineLucas accepting her lifetime achievement award at @edie tonight - and reminding us that GDP is fundamentally flawed, and we should instead be measuring wellbeing #edieawards
