ADHD + vibe coding = 14 half-finished projects and 0 memory of what I was doing in any of them
what actually works for you to jump back in when motivation returns?
no Notion empires pls, I need the lazy hacks π
Few days into actually moving from software into robotics. things I didn't expect:
- buying an arm is easy, picking the stack is the hard part
- apparently servos are most of the sim-to-real gap
- C for embedded after years of high-level code feels like learning to walk again
@ownlocus@jewelnathdev that split helps a lot. I'll probably start by bridging the existing serial protocol, rewriting firmware on day one sounds like a great way to never finish π
@HVACAutomates coming at it from the opposite side: years of code, zero intuition for relays. honestly you're ahead, hardware sense is the hard part. i'd get one servo reacting to one sensor on the esp32 first and learn the code around that
