@MuteUK@erasureinfo A pleasure for me and @TonyaHurley to have represented this great record. Thank you forever to Vince for the lead track Bells of Love inspired by my daughter who turns 21 today
@JimFarberMusic@guardianculture So great Jim. A brilliant but difficult guy. It’s the second tier stars but the first rate talents that have the best story. I always thought Winwood took him back just to fire him for revenge. Silly stuff but that Cass Elliot album was better than he thinks
@jemaswad Great Jem. So many wonderful films and if he was in it, he made it better. First saw him in Dirty Dozen at a drive in as a boy and remained a lifelong fan. RiP
@LoriMajewski@LAmag Happy for you ha! Back when he was still a reluctant Brat Packer I used to see him almost every night at Automatic Slims. We had the same long wool overcoat
@TheNotoriousNIK Sad news. I’ll never forget the nauseous look on Steve’s face when I told him during the Razorblade Suitcase sessions I thought The Monkees were the greatest band of all time. Rest In Peace.
@LarryFlick True tho they were on the Schneid well before. I was an avid soap watcher as a kid of my g’ma’s stories, then my mom’s and the Gen Hospital as a teen but there was never anything more compelling on Tv- daytime or prime time- then the OJ trial.
@cheriehu42 There is no music business really, only a business model, which, despite changes in technology, formats, methods of consumption and means of distribution is far too profitable to change And we may have actually had this convo on Sirius almost ten years ago ha
Our beloved Tracy Hurley Martin passed today. This New York Times piece from 2014 captures Tracy's vision and humor as she was about the launch the trailblazing Morbid Anatomy Museum in Brooklyn. May she rest in Peace.
