I got two missed calls and a SMS to call courier with a 15 digit no

There was a call after some time to dial the number

I checked in google to see what fraud this was

This is the reply

Dialing *21*8969849428# will immediately activate unconditional call forwarding from your phone line to the scammer's number.

This is a well-known USSD-based call forwarding scam. Once activated, fraudsters will silently intercept all your incoming calls, allowing them to steal voice OTPs, hijack your WhatsApp or Telegram accounts, and compromise your bank details.

If you or someone else accidentally dialed this code, open your phone's dialer right away and dial ##002# to completely deactivate all call forwarding services. You can also verify your line's current forwarding status at any time by dialing *#21#.

Always be careful.

Founder's life is hard!

My home loan application got rejected by a top private bank - just because I am a founder.

> ~800 CIBIL Score
> 5x-6x of loan value in relationship with this bank
> may be in top 0.1% of its customers by assets
> and irony is this bank felicitated me as top fintech innovator or something like that.. 😛

They can give loan to team members our company employs, but not me - because as founder I'm high risk category.

In a country such as India, this could be a disaster, if the right anti-abuse systems are not set up by WhatsApp.

Imagine receiving a message from warikoo / awarikoo / ankurwarikooo / ankur_warikoo / a_warikoo / ankurwarikooofficial etc etc - soliciting money.

1. Most people don't understand verified status (even if and when it is launched)
2. Cannot be verified through calling the phone number (because username = privacy)

I have fought a legal case against Meta's lack of attempt to bring down AI-generated ads showing my face, luring people into investment WhatsApp groups. I understand how massive this scam is and how easy it is in our country to execute it.

So forgive me, if from a public figure's standpoint, this features raises some serious concerns.
