@soggynotebook Interesting way to put it. I think her only regret is that she failed at killing herself. Terrible to believe, but everyone has an opinion on this case, including myself.
#LindsayClancy#LindsayClancyTrial I wondered about this early on. I thought maybe she believed she couldn't live without her children or they couldn't live without her, so she killed them and then intended on dying herself but did not.
Resnik says the other categories do not apply to Clancy; they are: Child maltreatment -- child abuse homicide; Unwanted child -- child is a burden and is killed for the parent's convenience; Spouse revenge -- parent hates their spouse so much that they're willing to sacrifice their child. Resnick says Lindsay "could not imagine them continuing to exist and live without her being there as her mother." He says she believed that she was doing what was right for her children, with her psychotic belief in her children's absolute need for her.

@TimTebow Tim, I've been struggling with secondary infertility for nearly two years. My husband and I are hoping to give a sibling to our son. Trying to have and then having another child are not easy paths, but they are worthwhile. I trust that God is asking me to go forward.
#LindsayClancy#LindsayClancyTrial Sadly, this will all be a fleeting moment in time like every other trial that causes outrage. Tough to accept. Also, humans can't stand nuance - people can be empathetic to LC - AND - think some accountability is called for.
#LindsayClancy#LindsayClancyTrial Remember when this case had ZERO conspiracy theories swirling around it? Oh, right, it was before the trial was widely viewed and clicked about on the internet. Increased visibility = increased idiocy.
@CoffindafferFBI You are a brave, brave soul for speaking your truth in such a volatile online environment. As a mother, I empathize with LC's struggles, but I cannot get past the loss of the children. I wish C, D, and C would have had better advocacy in the courtroom.
#LindsayClancy@CRConfidential Everyone, stop scrolling and go watch Josh's conversation with the one and only Susan Constantine, jury consultant and body language expert. Excellent insight.
@DouglasWei43233@Bederowlaw Agreed. I've thought from the beginning of the trial that the prosecutors have a personal vendetta against LC. Emotionally, that makes sense. Professionally, it's a disaster.
#LindsayClancy Imagine if three children who should be alive today were given better advocacy. Easy to criticize lawyers without being one, but the incompetence is infuriating. What a missed opportunity to stand gracefully, ethically, and meaningfully for C, D, and C.
#LindsayClancy I think the REAL question with this case is exactly what will be accomplished by everyone arguing with each other over the internet? Just a thought.
