@renagerie @ynab 2/2 And in addition...the entire premise of @ynab is that we are supposed to, you know, budget. This was a fixed cost that I budgeted for. While I have a few months before renewal, this will be a surprise to many who renew soon. You have created unnecessary budget stress. Why?

@renagerie @ynab Yes, @ynab. "Grandfathered in with the existing price." Not existing discount. That's...$45. And the past several years clearly communicated that the $45 was to be permanent. You're changing it now (your prerogative,) but don't try to tell us that we should have known. 1/2

@renagerie @ynab Unless "lifetime" is supposed to mean the lifetime of that version (which would be quite deceptive,) then no. @ynab said, or strongly implied to the point that people understood it as fact, that if you bought at the annual $45 level, then it would stay that way for life. My life.

@ynab is the best out there, but I'll be looking for alternatives. As someone who is serious about budgeting, the new price no longer makes sense. I can do a basic budget in Excel for free. @ynab doesn't add enough benefit to justify a 100% price increase.
