@wilnerhotline It's a zero-sum game. Each sport can only have so many important 'must-win' games. Adding to the post season means subtracting from reg season. It's a simple as that. NFL probably has the best reg/post balance. We're at diminishing returns now for B1G and SEC at least.
@CJRealHoops2 Why do you keep equating rooting against another team with pretending good stuff never happened? Whitt's loyalty to the U has ended and vice-versa. And if he was only loyal as long as he was getting a paycheck, that's not loyalty to begin with. That's business.
@100ThingsUtah I'll happily give Wazzu and Connor Halliday the 2011 OT win. Halliday deserved it, absolutely battling for 2 1/2 quarters with a lacerated liver. Especially with how we shit the bed against CU in the final game of that season.
@UtahPigBus Professing loyalty when it's not reciprocated is sad, honestly. Whitt's loyalty to the U ended the second they stopped paying him (which is not loyalty to begin with, btw).
He feels he owes us nothing more (clearly) and we owe him nothing more. End of transaction.
@SeanDDuncan85@bluebyninety Utah fan here: One of Whitt's weaknesses is that his coaching circle is a straight line from SLC to Provo. That's it. Nearly every vacancy he's ever filled has come from one of those two programs. It's all he knows. From the second he was hired, we all knew what was coming.
