I loved the Pride Night segment on @baseballisdead_ today.
The guys laid it out perfectly and provided a great discussion on why the actions of the Giants players were merely just performative garbage.
As someone who advocates heavily for the LGBTQ+ community and wants them to feel involved and included, it’s refreshing to have a group of people use their platform to condemn what the Giants players did and help the marginalized and oppressed LGBTQ+ community feel welcome and accepted.
Shoutout to @Jared_Carrabis@DALLASBRADEN209@tylermilliken_@jayhaykid for speaking on the subject.
All the LGBTQ+ community wants is to be accepted for who they are.
Pride Night and Pride Month are for those who want to celebrate themselves as an oppressed community who would constantly be silenced by people who didn’t accept them.
Writing Bible verses on your hat during pride night is as performative and counterfeit as it gets.
Thank you guys for speaking up about it.
Players can abstain from wearing Pride hats all they want. The issue is desecrating the Pride hat and making a night about LGBTQ fans about yourself. Why haven’t any of these Giants players posted bible verses to oppose genocide, mass deportation or a litany of other atrocities?
Whatever you think of this story, they actually weren't forced to wear rainbows on their hats, they had the option of just wearing the normal hats. Seems like a lot of folks on the Right have basic facts about this story wrong.
The world's first trillionaire begged the world's most notorious pedophile to be allowed to come to his child rape island.
That's a matter of public record
