So I dipped my toes into AI tools and ended up vibecoding a tool for criminal law attorneys in CA.

Pretty wild what is possible now with Claude Code and zero software experience.
The arguments section does a lot of heavy lifting once you wrap your head around it. It acts as an index for maybe 90% of criminal law arguments you see in court. As a prosecutor, it has proven useful.
I'd appreciate any advice on how to improve the tool.
The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty
A Colorado dad, who climbed Yosemite's El Capitan with his 7-year-old son, revealed that someone called child protective services to question his parenting abilities.
@moultano The anti slop movement is like that math org denouncing open ai over their math discoveries. Its all simply self preservation. Worse yet, it will happen to all jobs.
NYU math professor Tristan Buckmaster says OpenAIโs Tuesday drop of 722 AI-generated math papers wiped out entire research programs:
โThis recent dump of papers on Tuesday destroyed the careers of early career mathematicians.โ
We legit live in a dystopia. No one wants to actually push civilization forward. I thought the infection was mainly relegated to boomers and some greedy individuals but it really is a free for all for most people right now. Take what you can and give as little as possible.
Why would a mathematician be upset about staggering progress in their field? Because they are concerned about personal gain over gains in their field. Truly a sad sight.
I welcome the day AI pushes me out of my prosecutor role if only to be able to have my children live in a world where intelligence is near free and accessible. There are many jobs I can do for a living.
The scale of this is staggering.
But... Why?
Why is OpenAI trying to solve hundreds of math problems to be released all at once? I think we got the point when they found a counterexample to Navier-Stokes -- internal model = great.
I am not sure at this point what this (hostile?) takeover of the mathematical landscape is trying to achieve other than, again, a massive PR stunt.
i asked GPT 6 Pro and Fable 5.1 to rank all discoveries in the last three years
๐ต for Human discovered
๐ด for AI discovered (before October 6th)
๐ข for AI discovered from OpenAI/math repo
81% of them have been released today. wtf
@simpleminingio This is actually exactly why it has value over any other sh*t coins. Also, why the dispersal schedule was high in the beginning. You want other people to own your magic internet coin.
As you become an adult, you realize that things around you weren't just always there; people made them happen. But only recently have I started to internalize how much tenacity *everything* requires. That hotel, that park, that railway. The world is a museum of passion projects.
