The new cope hope rope narrative is "Coldcard, Liquid, Boltz, etc.. bugs weren't that bad!" because somethingsomething "canary in the coal mine" and [insert whataboutism here about PHP]!
I started Physical Superintelligence (PSI) with @alexwg and @aklokus on one conviction: our twenty-first-century civilization runs on twentieth-century physics, and AI can change that.
Today I'm excited to announce our $58M seed led by @Breakthrough to build the world's most advanced physics research lab, engineering physical systems beyond human design and discovering new physical laws of our universe for broad public benefit.
I'm grateful to my technical leadership (@aleMorari), our world-class team, and everyone who believed early.
Come ignite the physics takeoff with us: https://t.co/VMONFCheRd
Optimistic people tend to be long innovation, and typically, the optimists usually win. Right now, those same optimists look at bitcoin, a technology that has remained relatively unchanged since its launch in January 2009, and it boggles their minds how something so old, so rigid, so static, can continue to stay relevant and undisrupted during this era of rapid technological change. It’s so difficult for them to accept the possibility that Satoshi may have gotten all the rigid fundamental pillars in bitcoin right in 2009, whilst leaving enough flexibility in the protocol for us to adapt to new paradigms if needed. Many of these tech optimists have skin in the game. They’ve positioned themselves by investing in startups and shitcoins they believe will eventually obsolete bitcoin. That’s ultimately the common theme connecting this latest “AI will break cryptography” FUD, quantum computing FUD, and the older “flippening” narratives. I’ve been called a “luddite” for over a decade for not buying into Peercoin, Ethereum, Tezos, EOS, or running a Dash masternode. I’m used to it. Now I’m leaning into it. I’m a bitcoin luddite. My long position in bitcoin is an indirect short on your AI startups and quantum startups ability to break bitcoin. It’s a bet that P will continue not to equal NP. I dare you to steal the coins out of my address. If you think you can, then do it. Fight me bitch.
Would be cool if @matthew_pines would publicly push back on all the bitcoin FUD his co-founder has put out lately
Especially given that
A) he's still on the board of BPI
B) his new venture claims to be trying to use AI to discover "new laws of physics" and monetize them
1000s? 😆 Bro there's like 50 real people on that ghost chain. All the twitter support for them is fake, just sock puppets
And I did support mempool filtering 2023-25. I updated my priors after watchinhg new developments like Peter Todd's Libre relay client, sub sat summer, and seeing the natural and organic death of Ordinals without any type of intervention. I adjust to new info, just as I am now
There's a whole genre of bitcoiners out there who secretly sold, but keep their bitcoin twitter persona
They are the ones sitting in Spaces all day talking about AI stonks and dunking on core pillars of the bitcoin narrative like self custody, rolling dice, and running nodes
