The triple decker might be the most Massachusetts thing there is. It's also illegal to build in almost every city and town.
Look around your block. Most of what you see couldn't be built today.
In Cambridge, 85% of our buildings were illegal until I helped fix it last year.
Back on this- BrandonTurner/ODC/Disrupt $15 million equity wipeout
I think I've seen 1 post out of a dozens that even addresses the biggest issue: PURCHASE PRICE.
$180k/door for Katy, TX that has 100s of undeveloped acres was not SMART, it was in fact very DUMB.
I will not blame LPs but the secrecy doesn't help future LPs.
If a GP loses your capital you have no obligation to keep quiet. Unless you signed an NDA but even if you did make them sue you.
With that being said I'd like to know more about S2.
Send me more DMs. 👀
I hate retweeting Hanania, I don't buy his reformed racist writer act.
Now I am for racial set asides for Black people but I'm not an idiot. I don't believe for 1 sec Bannon would back such proposal.
He just is more focused right now on xenophobia, the racism will come later
Steve Bannon: “Until Silicon Valley has, I don’t know, 20% African American and 20% Hispanic, I’d like to put an exit visa on every college graduate, foreign student graduate from college here, and 30 days to leave and go back home and help make their nation great again”
You can’t even parody the Woke Right anymore. You used to have to explain a bit why they adopted the same loser mentality of the left.
Now they just literally copy and paste exactly what leftists are saying, down to demands of equal representation by race.
Anytime you see Nick Saban talking about NIL remember he built wealth in the old system that exploited largely young black men.
So forgot what he's saying and #PAYTHEPLAYERS
Nick Saban is quietly building a massive car dealership business 📈
• Owns ~10 car dealerships
• Employs 500+ people
• Locations sell Mercedes & Ferrari's
And he recently closed a $700 million deal.
Here's the story 👇
Nick Saban grew up in a mining town in West Virginia.
His dad owned a gas station, meaning Saban spent a lot of time pumping gas and fixing flat tires as a kid.
So as Nick Saban started to make more money in coaching — Saban has already made over $100 million at Alabama — he started investing in car dealerships.
But instead of working at them, he owns them.
Nick Saban partnered with Joe Agresti in 2013.
Joe already owned a car dealership in Louisiana, and the two decided to launch Dream Motor Group.
Dream Motor Group then purchased its first dealership in Birmingham, Alabama, and the company has expanded over the last decade.
Dream Motor Group now owns ~10 car dealerships across Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida.
They also recently opened a Ferrari dealership in Nashville — Saban drives a $250,000 Ferrari Portofino and visited the Ferrari factory in Italy last Summer — and the company was back in the news this week after purchasing two Florida dealerships for $700 million.
That's not bad for a guy who grew up pumping gas!

Every time the shadow docket has touched a contested map, the outcome favors Republicans.
Texas gerrymander: allowed.
New York Democratic flip: blocked.
Louisiana: VRA gutted.
Virginia Democratic map: refused to save it.
Alabama: a Black district erased.
Same direction every time.
Contrary to the low information discourse on here (and I'm not dissing the OP here, he knows) not a single one of California YIMBY's sponsored bills this session concerns zoning.
Here's what we're actually doing:
1. Ending frivilous condo defect litigation
2. Allowing condo presale fijancing
3. Lowering/limiting transfer taxes
4. Creating a revolving loan fund
5. Lowering ADU impact fees
6. Streamlining subdivisions
7. Requiring upfront on/offsite improvement disclosures
8. Allowing a second detached ADU statewide
9. Creating a standard entitlement application
10. Increasing residential code threshold to 10 units
@mattyglesias Can't help but feel that if the Mayor of Baltimore were a Carcetti-esque moderate-coded white democrat this incredible crime drop would be getting way way more national attention.
"Late Kakistocracy" is that phase of democratic decline where the regime starts running out of ppl who will work for it, and so the folks who aren't qualified for their current positions are promoted to even larger positions for which they are even more unqualified
Steve Bannon is the worst human being you can meet.
He’s charismatic, well read, conversant in history, and genuinely intelligent in certain ways.
But God made him so ugly in order to protect civilization from him.
He’s a white supremacist who wants to drag this country back to the 1890s.
-Dismantle free trade.
-Push black and brown people out.
-Manufacture everything domestically behind walls.
He is one of the most dangerous people in American politics precisely because he’s smart enough to make bad ideas sound serious.
Thank you for having me on the show @wethefifth

ALL OF THESE Democratic members have made recent announcements to balancing their States, or Cities, budgets.
Meanwhile, in January 2024, the Pedo-in-Chief @realDonaldTrump said: "we’re going to pay off our debt."
As of May 29, 2026, the U.S. national debt stands at approximately $39.21 TRILLION. When President Biden left office, it was $36 trillion. So, in a year and a half, this imbecile added OVER $3 trillion to the debt.
It's almost as if Democrats know how to govern.
