The media cell of C. Kholen Village Authority strongly condemns unprovoked firing and deadly attack on the innocent farmers of C. Kholen villagers at 7:50 AM this morning the 28th Aug 2026 by the Tangkhul led NSCN IM at their farm house. Luckily the farmers were safe by God's grace.

The repeated target of Kuki civilian and their ancestral land which really disturb peace and harmony in the region where we live since time immemorial, glorification of violence cannot be justified under any circumstances.

We urge the concern authority to provide us sufficient central forces to protect our life, property and our land. And also, would like to appeal the government of India to review the ongoing peace talk with NSCN IM in which they walk freely with their arms that intimidate peace loving innocent Kuki's.

We remain committed to peaceful co-existence and appeal to neighbouring Khamson Village Authority to engage in constructive dialogue for a peaceful living in the region rather than firing and bloodshed.

🚨 INDO–MYANMAR BORDER SECURITY DEMANDS URGENT ATTENTION

The reported 23 August 2026 ambush near Saibol along the Indo–Myanmar border in Manipur, as highlighted in the accompanying graphic, raises serious concerns about the security of Indian security personnel and civilians living in vulnerable border areas.

According to the graphic, an Assam Rifles patrol was reportedly targeted in an IED attack, leaving a jawan injured, while the attackers allegedly withdrew towards the Myanmar side after the incident.

The allegations and security concerns surrounding the region also require authorities to examine the possible involvement, links or support networks of armed groups and militant elements reportedly operating across NSCN-IM, Myanmar Meitei militants, Shan National Army and junta military-linked networks, wherever credible evidence establishes such connections.

These are extremely serious allegations and must be thoroughly investigated through credible intelligence and an impartial inquiry. No armed organisation or cross-border militant network should be permitted to use the Indo–Myanmar border as a base for attacks, intimidation or destabilisation.

The Government of India and concerned security agencies must strengthen border surveillance, intelligence coordination and protection of vulnerable areas while ensuring that civilian communities are protected and that responsibility is established strictly on the basis of evidence.
