@ChaponaBike123 @London_Cycling This has been an eye opener for me. I'm multiply insured (home, cycling organisations, specialist cycle insurer, arguably on car insurance as well) and I'm not sure that any of them are fit for purpose now.

Am claiming directly against the insurer of a driver who rear ended & totaled my bike because they weren't looking.
Frankly it's a pain, and much more difficult than sorting out claims as a driver.
@London_Cycling insurance not interested in helping as not injured either.

Unsurprised @CityofYork experiment with @tier_mobility is being cancelled. Limited parking zones make journeys inconvenient, buggy app makes journey impossible to start and parking zones look like dump inf ground for dead tech. Worst micromobility experience yet.

@LBRUT @AlexanderEhmann Whilst I'm glad the council has recognised the issue, some of the ideas suggested are incoherent. Tailbacks have been in all directions so phasing won't do much. Reducing entrances will push traffic to residential roads; close Manor Road entrance and Manor Grove takes the hit.

Then I bottled sending the teenager (from Marksbury) to Richmond on a bike because the infrastructure gives up at all the dangerous bits (Manor Circus, Richmond Circus, Quadrant Road, Parkshott)

@tomflood1 To be fair, I only just avoided a collision with an SUV on Sunday’s club ride whilst I was checking a direction on my computer.
They were pulling out of a driveway and had to brake suddenly, whilst I was number 3 in the line and almost got broadsided, but bloody cyclists eh!

@WilliamNB Think you might struggle. Never struck me as a 24 hr town (based on annual in law visits), and central pubs in not really destinations (but usually v. friendly). Can suggest lots of great rides in the area or daytime activities, but nowhere to kill time that late at night.

@charlie_baker23 @RichmondCycling For the hybrid, where I don’t want a garmin mount I use the Drift Universal Mount attached to a GoPro mount integrated into the stem. If there wasn’t an integrated stem mount available for my bike I’d have used a GoPro mount that attaches to the stem bolts.

@charlie_baker23 @RichmondCycling On the road bike I use a Drift Universal Mount and an all in one garmin/camera out front mount by Trustfire from Amazon. The out front mount has fins for a GoPro, the DUM has fins that fit this.
