And in the affidavit, it is clearly stated – any crypto kept on the platform doesn’t belong to the users, it belongs to #WazirX

Bybit and WazirX both faced hacks.

Yet, Bybit has almost completely bounced back -with $1.23B worth of $ETH gathered within 3 days & active withdrawals.

Meanwhile 8 months later, withdrawals are still disabled in WazirX.

⚠️ Here’s what Bybit did that WazirX didn’t:

If we are being honest, Bybit and WazirX can’t be weighed side by side.

These are 2 different sized exchanges.

Still, #WazirX has a lot to learn from Bybit’s response.

1. Transparency: Bybit’s CEO Ben Zhou shared detailed updates on X, explaining the attack’s mechanics—malicious contracts and on-chain movements. WazirX stayed largely silent, leaving users in the dark with barely any updates.

2. Proof of Funds: #Bybit proved their reserves were intact, ensuring users’ funds were 1:1 backed despite the loss. WazirX offered no clear proof of this causing users to lose trust in the platform.

3. Quick Recovery: Bybit had deposits and withdrawals fully operational by February 22, 2025—two days post-hack. WazirX hasn’t restored normal operations, even months after their incident.

4. Accountability: Bybit absorbed the hit and kept users whole, while WazirX moved $73M to Bybit post-hack without explanation, raising eyebrows.

Bybit acted decisively, communicated openly & prioritized users. WazirX lagged and hid—big difference in execution.

Bybit lost $1.46B in ETH to a hack 3 days ago but kept withdrawals open & bought back $ETH for their 1:1 reserve

Meanwhile #WazirX :

-> Lost $235M about 7 months ago
-> Halted withdrawals since then
-> Lied about 1:1 reserves backing
-> Took out 🇮🇳Indians users funds
-> Using them to launch DEX

There's many more things that they kept hidden from everyone !!!

This explains why users prefer foreign exchanges over 🇮🇳Indian ones.
