@Use2TalkIrish I trust Denbrock and Freeman to make the right decision. I favor Carr because I think he is more advanced as a passer. But I get the dual threat and maturity may favor Minchey.
Kirby Smart said, "Donโt be a blame guy. Thatโs the first sign of loser mentality when you blame someone else for a mistake."
Blaming others shifts the focus from problem-solving to finger pointing.
โข It lacks ownership.
โข It lacks responsibility.
The blame game is one of 6 you don't want your team to play because it means pointing failures or mistakes on others instead of taking personal accountability.
Here are the 5 others:
1. The Complain Game - The only thing complaining changes is your attitude and for the negative. Complaining is not a solution, it's only a distraction from action, gratitude, and growth. It creates a negative environment, reduces productivity, and reduces motivation.
2. The Excuse Game - Excuses are just lies you tell yourself. It's your fear, insecurity, and denial talking instead of taking accountability. Making excuses prevents learning, growth, accountability, and development.
3. The Gossip Game - It means spending time spreading rumors or private information. It erodes trust, teamwork, and relationships. You create a toxic environment when you gossip because you don't focus on what matters: the team.
4. The Avoidance Game - It means avoiding difficult, but necessary conversations, decisions, or tasks. You can't avoid accountability or healthy conflict. As a leader, you need to set a high standard and lead from the front.
5. The Comparison Game - It's when focus too much on others instead of performance or improvement. It creates jealousy and resentment, undermining your own satisfaction, confidence, and self-esteem. Focus on your goals and growth.

"You don't show up on game day and expect to be great. Greatness happens in practice. You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them." (Michael Jordan)
DISCIPLINE IS A WAY OF LIFE
This entire clip from Nick Saban is pure gold. Discipline is everything. Every player should watch this clip understanding how they do drills in practice, how they warm up, or do anything is a mentality. It can't be turned on or off.
UNSEEN HOURS
Here's a small glimpse into why the best are the best with Caitlin Clark's off-season workout.
Everybody says they want to be great but not everyone is willing to do what's necessary to be great. Greatness doesn't just happen, it's earned.

LeBron admits he played bad but then he follows it up with excuses. Jordan and Kobe never made excuses and worked harder and harder until NOBODY could beat them.
If I am going to battle give me Jordan or Kobe ALL DAY everyday over excuse making LeBron! ๐๐
