While you’re at it, contact the NIH Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. They’ve released a statement on social injustice in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, but ask what they’re doing to dismantle the systemic racism in our community and fund black scientists. @NIH_EDI
Hoppe et. al reported in 2019 on the funding disparity between AA/B and white scientists. They showed that AA/B-submitted NIH apps are less likely to be discussed and more poorly scored.
