To: Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi; Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Subject: I am screaming in blood for justice — please punish the killers of the stray dog in Rajnandgaon

Respected Prime Minister, Respected Chief Minister,

I write this letter not as a journalist, not as a columnist, not as a professional voice — but as a human, a soul torn to shreds, a heart that is bleeding blood tears.

On 30 May 2025, in Chikhli, Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, two young men tied a living, breathing, black stray dog to their motorcycle (registration number CG08R 3474) and dragged it through the dirt road like a sack of garbage.
When questioned, they coldly answered, “It barks. It bites. We are punishing it.”

Punishment? What punishment is this, where a voiceless body is ripped open, left bleeding, crying, terrified?
That night, while the world slept, someone — perhaps the same, perhaps others — killed that dog, finishing what cruelty had begun.

Respected sirs, 🙏
This is not just an animal cruelty case.
This is not just an FIR.
This is not just another passing headline.

This is a mirror — reflecting what kind of society we are becoming. A society where cruelty to the weak goes unchecked, where voiceless lives are crushed without consequence, where indifference becomes complicity.

I am crying out today, not as a journalist, but as a broken human being:
Please ensure the strictest, swiftest punishment for these two accused.
Please let this case be a landmark, a national statement — that India will no longer tolerate the torture and killing of helpless beings.
Please do not let this vanish quietly into paperwork and silence.

We owe it to the voiceless.
We owe it to ourselves.
Because if we fail this moment, we have failed as a people, as a nation, as a species.

Please, bring justice. Bring punishment. Bring a reckoning.
