I had enjoyed showing up to class given the very comforting feeling the class had brought. Additionally, being able to relate and openly discuss how the units connected to our personal, social, political and lives in general was really nice as well. #DCIM353McCormick
@nav470 In present tense, we already can see that Tesla and other companies have produced cars that don't run on gas. Also cars that run on gas and battery power. So in the future, there is also definitely a chance of floating cars too, those haven't been released just yet in the present
@KATHERI93292019 I can definitely see it becoming normal in the future. Especially in classrooms given that it will help children feel the real experienced.
@ray_godsly I could definitely see this happen. My research paper was based on genetic modification so I feel like the implanting chips would play a role in it as well in the future.
Artificial Intelligence is probably one the disruptive technology expected to have the greatest and most impact on the future. It will go from Alexa/google/siri, to having literal robots to do our work for us. #DCIM353McCormick
@MooreKyere Yes I completely agree. I had tweeted about that as well. Understanding disrupting and sustaining changes are important as well when it comes to the digital ages.
#DCIM353McCormick Im pretty sure we need to know the difference between disruptive and sustaining technologies. We also MUST know the five criteria that are included in disruptive change. I think we should also remember how changes in technology affects people and families.
For my EDTP project, I plan to research gene editing. I find the ability to edit genes for our own benefit, whether it be vaccines or trying to cure diseases extremely interesting. I will also be discussing the social and economic effects it has on people. #DCIM353McCormick
@Matt_Eps I never thought about it this way, your completely right. I remember waking up on school morning and having News12 playing to check the weather. But now we just have news and weather apps on our phone.
@JoeBrutgers I completely agree with you that those apps have made it easier. It makes paying my siblings back for buying me food way easier! I actually use Zelle quite often.
@nav470 Hey Nicolas, Contactless payment is definitely way better than how you may normally pay. Itβs not only faster but for germaphobes itβs probably almost like a blessing to have the option to Apple Pay. Personally I donβt use apply pay much since itβs not available everywhere yet
@RUProfMcCormick even though teens becoming insecure from what they see online, they canβt seem to back away from social media. This is disruptive, not just in the sense of media but it disrupts a persons way of thinking. #DCIM353McCormick
