#DCIM353McCormick My biggest takeaway from the class was delving into the positive and negative impacts of disruptive technologies that we use daily. It is also good to know how to spot potential disruptive technologies in their early stages.
#DCIM353McCormick Prediction: No matter how detailed it gets, AI art will never replace human art.
It may hinder the number of opportunities for artists but will not make it obsolete.
@AmithiPathak I like this prediction because, when it comes to the future, everyone is so focused on where VR is headed. The point you made is exactly why I agree that AR will be more popular as people don't want to completely abandon reality.
@ReeseBracken2 I don't think I agree with this because I think the effects of online classes on our generation will be noticeable in our lack of knowledge in many fields. Most students can agree that less learning takes place online, not to mention less socializing.
@IMDLR_ This is a good point. It seems as if it is already hard to understand for the average person and as tech becomes more and more refined, the common person will understand less.
#DCIM353McCormick I feel that some Qs could be taken from the endings of some of the PowerPoints like "What gets left behind when radical innovation disrupts?" or "Does the constant presence of digital tech in the lives of families represent a disruptive change for families?"
For my EDTP assignment, I think I'm going to be talking about Cryptocurrency as a whole but may go into a more specialized topic like NFTs. I feel like it would make more sense to speak about the general topic as there are several more perspectives I can tackle #DCIM353McCormick
@CHRISTO96711086 It won't be easy at all to make AI the norm in most scenarios. While things like AI-driven cars will try to become more prominent, I can't see people entrusting their lives daily to AI that doesn't have the best track record.

@thesophiaverse Just goes to show that what you do and say on the internet, no matter how long ago, never truly goes away. I think this prompts a lot of younger people to think before they post which is a positive effect.
2/ A study from back in 2017 showed that as much as 85% of the country's adults get their news on a mobile device. I can imagine that number is higher today.

1/ One social norm that has changed with the rise of the modern digital age is where we get our news from. It would make sense that the younger generation gets their news on the go because of how much we rely on technology but a majority of adults do also...#DCIM353McCormick
#rucom101 Communication, to me, is anything that conveys information. Every single thing that we see, smell, hear, touch, and taste communicates to us some form of information. I would define it this way to a middle school kid as I think it's the most simple definition.
