Let us summarise the differences between diarrhoea, dysentery and cholera.
- Diarrhoea is a general symptom characterized by loose, watery stools and can arise from various causes, affecting both the small and large intestines.
- Dysentery is a more severe form of diarrhoea with blood, mucus, and pus, primarily affecting the colon due to invasive bacterial or amoebic infections.
- Cholera is marked by profuse, watery diarrhoea without blood, caused by a toxin from *Vibrio cholerae*, leading to rapid dehydration and often linked to poor water sanitation.
Each condition, though involving diarrhoea, presents with different levels of severity and requires specific approaches to treatment and prevention, especially in resource-limited settings where these diseases are most prevalent.
Understanding these differences is crucial for effective management and control of these diseases in clinical and public health contexts.

Muzukuru independence was a collective national effort. I have got family members who fought in that war & made immense sacrifices.
You do not have a monopoly over Zimbabwe. I belong to it as much as you do.
What's more, by a stroke of genetic coincidence, we share bloodlines & ancestral lands.
As I have repeatedly reminded you, you are a dinosaur. You & your generation have destroyed Zimbabwe & stifled it's great potential.
Many are running away from the choking poverty & social, political & humanitarian catastrophe. It's "independence" for a select few!
What's more, I can prove that ED's ascendancy was immensely supported by the British via Catriona Laing.
I have got documentary evidence, including from meetings that I attended there in Zim.
ED himself publicly claimed that he would reform & usher in & inclusive & democratic Zimbabwe divorced from egregious human rights violations of the past.
He has now held successive sham elections, so he has spectacularly to reform & improve the welfare of our people.
The problem is you lack vision & an understanding of your mortal limitations.
Weren't Nkomo, Tekere, Sithole, Makamure, Dongo, Dumbutshena, Masuku, Dabengwa, Mohadi & many others persecuted by the regime?
No opposition has ever been tolerated. You simply don't know how to build a peaceful, united & democratic country.
You steal elections & then fail to run the economy. RTGS, Bond Notes & now ZiG! What's next? Mbudzi Interchange? 4 years? 🤣🤣🤣
Yesterday, March 30th marked the end of the Regional Workshop of Central African members of the KP Civil Society on the Kimberley Process. Among the many key highlights was the implementation of a regional approach in the region.
So far, 72 countries approved StarLink.
Mozambique, our friendly neighbour, is battling terrorists & rebels, but they approved Starlink.
We are busy writing acres of baseless articles. That’s how u get left behind while others progress. How is Starlink internet different from Econet internet besides being of better quality and cheaper?
After @Potraz_zw, the moneychangers at the @ReserveBankZIM are also failing as regulators. Zimbabweans are scared of banking their money because of the extortionate bank charges. The RBZ honchos who are former bankers won’t solve the issue, they normalise it . Banks MUST be lenders, & make money from lending…. These banks thriving on bank charges add no value to the economy… they have no appetite to lend money or finance projects, they are waiting to decimate whatever people deposit in their accounts.
@ParliamentZim is sleeping on IT’s oversight duties, allowing banks to rip off customers while contributing nothing to the economy.
Money deposited in banks MUST earn interest, not be wiped out through bank charges….
@ZimTreasury is just watching, normalising this economic sabotage.
There is now a huge increase in robberies because of cash being kept in homes….
Starting off the week with #consistency. #Focus is on strengthening local environmental plans and promoting their implementation!
This week we are excited to kick off our District multi-stakeholder dialogue meeting in Zvishavane under the #ZIMACE project.
Together with stakeholders from various sectors including @EMAeep, Runde RDC, @forestrycom1, we are tackling emerging challenges in districts affected by mining environmental impacts.
THIS ZIMBABWE MUST COME…This was at Doroi camp in Mozambique before the 1980 independence. The young people had so much hope in the future. This hope has not materialized. Things went wrong. 44 years later, even the young people of today still have this hope. Zimbabwe will not die because the young people will save it!! It’s a generational call. Are you in?? #MyZimbabwe #OneOeople
Relocating people is not bad abd it has been done since time immemorial, BUT the question we shld ask ourselves is Do we really have proper planning to that and are we really prepared before relocating @ZELA_Infor @CNRG_ZIM@NewsDayZimbabwe@nickmangwana
@DailyNewsZim First thing first there has never been an good and fair relocation and compensation in Zim. This remind me of Chiadzwa communities in Marange diamond mining. There is always tears 😢 😭. See chiadzwa relocation @zzidawu @ZELA_Infor @CNRG_ZIM@marange_women
