Just really happy with our icon corner now that we've been received into the EO church as a family, and a friend today gave me this handwritten prayer for the newest little one we are expecting next week. Grateful. I also haven't posted on the TL since 2017 😂. Much has changed.

@theclassicwife The Jesus prayer has been such a help with this, and the sign of the cross. Those type of "bullet" prayers where I barely need to think but can do something physical to help break the pattern. Or saying out loud , "that's not real." But I'm so sorry, that's awful to experience.

@BaileyDevine20 @audrawrongspeak Mama to a 3 year old girl here... I want thoughts! My boys both were 3.5 before ready, at least from my perspective. Newly 3 year old daughter has seemed ready for ages, takes off diaper, sits on potty. But never goes? I haven't pushed it, but didn't wanna do this wrong!

@Matthew56193629 @syd_bee3 Pagans sacrificed animals and food to the idol, with the intent to coerce the demon/god/spirit to do something for them. Pagan worship involved the ritual sacrifice and eating of the meal in the presence of the idol.

@noetic_healing What kind of therapist/licensing? I'm a recent convert and have an LCSW w trauma focus, coming from story work, internal family systems, attachment based work. Looking forward to understanding how my old protestant lens for therapy changes in becoming Orthodox.

@JasonCincinnati If you are in an area friendly to small businesses, I recommend starting a small service business. We started with office and home cleanings, eventually picked up more commercial work. I was able to stay home and help with book keeping starting 3 years ago and have 4 kids.
