A tweet for those with a #BPD diagnosis who are in a helping profession such as nursing, social work, teaching, childcare, medicine, etc.
I see you & I believe in your competence.
(I’m not actually back - nor did I disappear)
Have you ever gotten so angry and/or triggered that you broke something?
It’s 9 in the morning and I just shattered a glass door.
I want people with a #BPD diagnosis to be
✨included in mental health services
✨offered *specialist* therapy if wanted, such as DBT or schema
✨respected by all medical/mental health professionals
✨able to disclose to an employer without discrimination
✨valued as individuals
And all of this because I worry so much about my FP’s mental- and physical health. But I also fear that they’ll leave me, again. (We’re not dating anymore but we’re best friends).
Do you ever feel like you have to ‘censor’ your life?
Like you have to ‘edit out’ your experiences of self-harm, psychosis or suicide?
Does it make you feel alone or different from others?
